Mirzapur, a series about the power hungry son and the jealous nature he exhibits due to his father’s trust lying more on it henchman.
This series shows the darker part of the North India, especially Uttar Pradesh which has been noted of its constant widespread of violence. A story about power jealous Munna and his father issues does strike a resemblance is what most of the boys feel at a certain age. The father’s Hench men – Babulu and Guddu have a nice character arc development throughout the series. From being against the whole concept of “violence” to them taking an upper hand in killing and increasing the business of selling of illegal things flowing around the city.
The show’s main focus is on guns and violence, and at some episodes the bloodshed exceeds the “entertainment” limit and rather becomes lagging as the viewer gets bored with the never ending and over normalization of gunshots, death and violence.
The show often forget its moral centre, making the viewers confused about the monotonous narrative of the script. The actors justify their roles, Munna played by Divyendu Sharma, perfectly shows an over pampered, power hungry yet having streaks of unworthiness in his character. Kaleen Bhaiyya played by Pankaj Tripathi also justifies its dominative and authoritative role .
Apart from this , this show also gives the viewers a taste in how male patriarchy resulted in inhibiting a women's secuality, thereby making her explore other options. With sex also being one of the minor role, it makes us perplexed about the reality of various things happening in households across the country.
The script being a bit monotonous which resulted in lagging of the series, sometimes makes the viewer abandon the show midway. With drugs and rape being prominent in the series, it makes us audience wonder how many parts of India are still unprotected from this sort of crimes.

Scope of improvement
4 more shots by Anu menon, is about a group of four women who are unapologetically strong. This show starring a talented cast might have missed a mark.
The very basis of the show is feminism, and how modern day women tackle problems. From ambitious to exploring one’s own sexuality, this show does justice in normalizing a woman’s sexual needs and partners (men or women). Each of these woman represents a part of the society which has been shunned and looked down upon owing to the fact that women are “not supposed” to do it.
From showing their blunders to them getting high, this show’s message was genuine yet the over dramatization of the lives of these women makes it a bit unrealistic. The laughs are limited yet this series does dip a hand in dark humour, that too cracked by women.
Overall the show might have delivered the message clear, outlines why feminism is needed yet it fails to sour heights in entertainment, a scope of improvement in the writing maybe.
But, the show finale does give the audience a need or a want to watch the next season.

Heartwarming
The web series "The Girls Hostel" by Girliyapa takes on a heart-warming take on what usually happens in a girl’s hostel. With a well-acted cast, this series provides us with memorable laughs.
With the medical college hostels as the backdrop, the series dramatizes incidents which usally happens in a hostel, yet still serving to be relatable to all the female hostelites.
The first episode is called "bra chor”, the episode starts off with what a girl especially from a strict family feels when she starts to live kind of far from the parents with a new found freedom from their constant surveillance yet still feeling sad over the going to be absent the parental love. This episode then goes on to introduce various characters .
The later on episodes have the same approach towards what Indian Girls usually feels in the hostel, from adjusting to the roommate’s whims and stupidities to getting their new bras stolen(Which is common in most of the girls hostels) , sneaking past the curfew time , college romance etc.
The warden and her vigilance is given a funny look, kind of showing the truth about the extent the wardens of hostels goes to "control" the hostelites in a rather comical way.
Since the series has a medical background, it presents us a satirical view on how medical students look on the dental students and how the society presents these two sects of the medical field.
The series is relatable to the hostelites and puts the college pass-outs on a train of nostalgia. #LOLFunny #bestOfAdventure #addiction #chickFlick #cute #entertaining
