The good vibes starring Manavi Gagaroo and Naveen Kasturia is a slapstick comedy on a new married “millennial” couple and how they are able to get through this chaos of adulthood. The series is funny, yet it fails to keep us interested throughout. The acting is satisfactory enough but there isn’t a strong storyline to hold onto, which makes the series falter off midway. Incidents depicted in this series is relatable enough but it is over exaggerated which subsequently makes the viewers bored after a while and makes the whole series look like a drag. Scope of improvement with both the storyline and humor.

Yeh meri family directed by Sameer Saxena is a heartwarming series which revolves around a middle class family during the late 90s. Watching the series makes us overwhelm with emotions owing to the fact that it shows the best time of our childhood in a very comical and beautiful way. The series is shot through the view point of a 12 year old boy, showing us various events happening around the household and how the family still went through together. Sibling rivalry wrapped around in love, the silly fights between parents and childhood crushes, this series managed to cover all these areas of our childhood in a very elegant way.
The cast was so natural in their acting, that it seemed like we were reliving our childhood all over again.

College romance by Timeliners , touches the very sensitive chord in our hearts. With teenage romance as its backdrop, this series by the timeliners takes on a hilarious twists in breakups, love and friendship. From trying to breakup with a “dominating” girlfriend, the scenes deliver really heartwarming and funny scenes to searching for hints. This series will make all the college pass outs nostalgic since the type of antics shown by the college students, the budding romance, bunking scenes and cigarette breaks are all relatable to half of the college going population.

The actors Manjot Singh who plays trippy, Apoorva Arora who plays Naira and Keshav Sadhna potraying Karan justifies their respective roles as three best friends, their acting is genuine and should be much appreciated.

I am not a fan of Vikram Bhatt’s movies , never have been and his new web originals Zakhami made me even more repellent to his direction be it movies or web series.
The series starring newbie actors and they disappoint. Their faces have no expression which in turn doesn’t make us realize the graveness of the situation that the “thriller” episode is trying to portray. The background score is clichéd upto such extent that they are underwhelming to the shots. The dialogues are also far from being acceptable with a very old and poetic type of Hindi that too when the character is very modern and have an accent in the way she is speaking, it makes us question the logic in this film. Scenes where the main character is running just after “freeing” herself from the hospital bed which was meant to treat her since she couldn’t even move after an attack from a mob also makes us wonder the credibility and common sense which should have been inculcated in the series from the beginning. It is disappointing, however If you want to watch a series with a very amateurish acting and storyline with even a unbelievable presentation of characters and the use of makeup then go ahead watch it. #bad #wasteoftime #dontwatch

Adulting by Dice Media weaves a story about two girls starring Aisha Ahmed and Yashaswani Dayama. The story outlines all the problems faced by millennial, from being broke to being drunk on weekdays, this series shows all the emotions and confusions faced by girls in their 20s. Apart from showing us instances which is relatable to more than half of the city-bred millennial, it makes us miss our college/school roommate, the relationship which exists between roommates and their constant petty fights and then the heartwarming make-ups.
The caramederie which existed between Aisha and Yahaswini can be considered important in their roles since this series revolved around them. Dice Media yet again delivers us with an overwhelming and relatable series.

Leila is an Indian T.V series directed by Deepa Mehta, Shanker Raman and Pawan Kumarbased on the novel written by Prayaag Akbar which was released in 2017. With a dyspotatian region as a backdrop, this series shows how communities are divided and even clean water and air is shown as a luxury which only few people can afford.
The series is titled as Leila who is the daughter of Shalini played by Huma Qureshi. Huma Qureshi gives a powerful performance as a mother who is desperately in search of her daughter – Leila .The series shows a fascist government and makes the audience feel terrified of the fates of the characters owing to their natural acting. Even though the series is thrilling and the actors have considerably justified their roles, it misses out on a strong storyline. There are lot of foreshadowing happening in the series and nothing unexpected is seen. The season 1 didn’t meet up to the expectations nor did the season finale did justice. Hopefully, the season 2 will make up for the blunders made in season 1.

Criminal Justice is the Indian version of the series Criminal justice by Peter Mofatt. The Indian version is adapted by Shridhar Raghavan. The series revolve around proving “Aditya” played by Vikrat Massey innocence is a murder case. The main idea behind the series is good, it has enough potential to keep its viewers hook yet the series seem to drag in most of the episodes.
The episodes have certain loose ends which makes the audience confused at the complexity of the story. The acting was good, since they had experienced cast, yet there are lot of ways this series could have filmed betetr. It’s sometimes fast paced for example the last 2 episodes and lagged in the middle of the series.
Apart from all the technical aspects of the film, this series tends to show how the police work even though it was dramatized but it somehow gave us a gist about the working of police force, investigation processes and the way they deal with the suspects. The media is also shown in a way absurd and upto what extent it can go to misrepresent certain facts and mislead the people.
Scope of improvement but doesn’t disappoint.

Sacred games directed by Anurag Kashyap and Vikramaditya Motwane had sent waves all across the country. The story revolves around a phone call which was made by a well-known gangster called Gaitonde played by the award winning actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui to a troubled police office Sartaj Singh played by none other than Saif Ali Khan who was asked to save the city in 25 days. This series is dark and thrilling, with each episodes leaving us wanting for more, Sacred Games had really set a bench mark for all other Indian series. Nawazuddin plays his character so effortlessly that there would be a moment no, correction moments that we feel that Nawazuddin was always a gangster instead of an actor, Anurag Kashyap does a great job in showing the Mumbai underworld and how clashes between different gangs work. The transition of Gaitonde from a low level thief to Mumbai’s most notorious gangster is beautifully portrayed by the storyline. Coming to Saif’s role as a failed and depressed policeman Sartaj Singh- he exceeds everyone’s expectations. Vikramaditya Motwane shows the Police world, the corruption and the fights over moralities exhibited by different policemen in a way like never before
The series starts with a dog falling off from an apartment whose significance in the series’ plot is later shown in the coming episodes, a scene like this was enough to capture the grimness this series had to offer to us. The coming episodes shows different stories and how it is related to Gaitonde and his statement of how the city will be destroyed in 25 days. A constant cat and mouse chase, yet the series satisfies its audience.
Other notable performances include – Radhika Apte who is playing a RAW agent, Jatin Sarna as “Bunty” , Kubra Sait as Kukko and the performance delivered by Jitendra Joshi as Constable Katekar will forever more be etched in our memories.
