Sacred Games ka love child
What would happen if Sacred Games and Gangs of Wasseypur had a love child? The result would be Mirzapur. I have never really been an avid fan of crime thrillers or gory webseries, but Mirzapur changed my perspective completely. Boasting of brilliant casting such as Pankaj Tripathi, Rasika Duggal, Ali Fazal, Shreya Pilgaonkar, Vikrant Massey, Shweta Tripathi and humare "apne" Munna Bhaiya. The show lives upto it's hype and delivers a promising gangster story. Two brothers, recruited by the ever feared Kaleen Bhaiya fall out of Munna bhaiya's favor but climb up the ranks in Kaleen's eyes,. A show about petty revenge, uncontrolled anger, unsatiated sexual desires and the bond between two brothers makes it endearing supported by it's comic relief provided by the muscular and naive Guddu. Shweta Tripathi's character of Golu speaks fearlessness , courage and boldness in exquisitely strong way. Massey's strategic character lends him another feather in his cap of achievements for his committment to his role is downright amazing. Pankaj Tripathi does absolute justice to his role as kaleen Bhaiya. He is not just fearful but is highly tactful, intelligent but at the same time falls an easy victim to manipulation. A must watch for all the gangster thriller lovers out there.

A brilliant show with a brilliant storyline and cast, Mirzapur did justice to the crime, action genres. Set in Uttar Pradesh, the show covers the criminal world of the same. The portrayal of the lives of the people, their identity and characteristics is very well done. Good cinematography comes with good cast, namely Ali Fazal, Pankaj Tripathi, Vikram Massey and Shweta Tripathi. The dialogues are very well written to bring out the essence of the dialect amd language of the people of Uttar Pradesh which makes the show more commendable and funnily entertaining. A must watch to refresh the mind.

Amazon Prime’s exclusive Indian crime original is set up in the district of Mirzapur. The story revolves around two brothers who struggle their way to achieve something bigger than themselves. When "Kaleen Bhaiya" (played by Pankaj Tripathi) a local business man and the town's most dangerous gangster hire the sons of a straight faced lawyer, a series events is set in motion. The political plot of the series is nothing great as such but what makes this series stand in the competitive web series business is the cast and how each and every character is portrayed. This series is a must watch for all the crime drama lover, and is expected to have a season 2.

Mirzapur, a series about the power hungry son and the jealous nature he exhibits due to his father’s trust lying more on it henchman.
This series shows the darker part of the North India, especially Uttar Pradesh which has been noted of its constant widespread of violence. A story about power jealous Munna and his father issues does strike a resemblance is what most of the boys feel at a certain age. The father’s Hench men – Babulu and Guddu have a nice character arc development throughout the series. From being against the whole concept of “violence” to them taking an upper hand in killing and increasing the business of selling of illegal things flowing around the city.
The show’s main focus is on guns and violence, and at some episodes the bloodshed exceeds the “entertainment” limit and rather becomes lagging as the viewer gets bored with the never ending and over normalization of gunshots, death and violence.
The show often forget its moral centre, making the viewers confused about the monotonous narrative of the script. The actors justify their roles, Munna played by Divyendu Sharma, perfectly shows an over pampered, power hungry yet having streaks of unworthiness in his character. Kaleen Bhaiyya played by Pankaj Tripathi also justifies its dominative and authoritative role .
Apart from this , this show also gives the viewers a taste in how male patriarchy resulted in inhibiting a women's secuality, thereby making her explore other options. With sex also being one of the minor role, it makes us perplexed about the reality of various things happening in households across the country.
The script being a bit monotonous which resulted in lagging of the series, sometimes makes the viewer abandon the show midway. With drugs and rape being prominent in the series, it makes us audience wonder how many parts of India are still unprotected from this sort of crimes.

Parv Kaur reviewed Mirzapur
Beleive me I have watched this series 3 times now in a gap of 1 month and I cam stop thinking about the Season 2. The characters and their work could bot be appreciated in any words. The best #gangster story with the #badass boys and #sexual content along the way. Its the #bestOfThriller and #bestOfCrime . The role of Kaleen Bhaiya played by Pankaj Tripathi could never be played by anyone better than him . Ali Faizal nailed his part with h Vikrant Massey by his side and Divyendu Sharma gave an unexpected performance shocking every critic. For me its the best criminal series till date and yes it seriously can be compared to Anurag Kashyap's Gangs of Wasseypur.

it is an Indian crime thriller web television series and it's one hell of a tv show which will give you goosebumps . This show reveals the black market and shows that how unemployment is on it's rise nowadays forcing the youth of Mirzapur to join the world of crime for instantly making money. it really captures the horrific and brutal scenes well .story was well formulated and extremely well pictured. the cast was awesome. female characters were not just plot accelerators , they had their own importance in the series. Pankaj tripathi as kaleen bhaiya is the clear star of the show .Gripping performances by him is the heart and soul of the series. There are several new faces who have done excellent acting. Direction ,story writing and acting are brilliant. Apart from this another thing i would like to mention here is the work editing team has done is worth appreciation .i just love the timings of background music and sound effects played at different moments. you'll get it after watching it.

This is way ahead of Netflix's Sacred Games as far as entertainment factor is concerned. Both shows leverage censorship bypass to hook users, Mirzapur more than Sacred Games.
Regarding the cast, although Pankaj Tripathi is a brilliant actor, he doesn't quite fit well with the character. I can still feel a humorous Pankaj Tripathi instaed of a Don and was never really scared of that character.

Using all the components of everyday lifestyle, the makers did a really nice job. The circumstances seem realistic, though some instantances seem highly improbable. Nevertheless, this series is a spectacular watch for the youth.

Daring, Refreshing, Violent
This is a spoiler free review of Mirzapur, an Amazon prime original released on 16th november, 2018.

Digital content has shown the other side of talent from India. Be it the Netflix original Sacred Games, or Ghoul, or any other , they have exposed the audiences to a whole new content on a whole new level.
And so has Mirzapur, the fifth prime original crime drama from India. It was being touted as prime' answer to Sacred Games, which we'll talk about later. Starring Pankaj Tripathi, Ali Fazal, Vikrant Massey and Divyendu Tripathi in prominent roles, this one has all that it needs-stellar cast, gangster drama.

Plotline:
Akhandanand Tripathi, aka Kaleen Bhaiya(Pankaj Tripathi) is the Bahubali of the city Mirzapur. He has a son, Mulchandra Tripathi aka Munna Bhaiya(Divyendu Sharma) who has a sort of throne desiring mindset. Two brother, Guddu(Ali Fazal) and Bablu(Vikrant Massey) get involved in this crime sh*t by fate. The fights, conspiracy, bullets, guns and the power-packed dialogues, form the rest of the story which I won't be discussing over here, as it is a non-spoiler review.

So basically the series is a gangster family drama, with a lot of bloodshed and internal conspiracy. Each member has its own mindset and you'll just keep guessing what evilness is going on in their minds. You might admire them, and you might hate them. But on the whole, you'll love them. Guddu and Bablu have their own compulsions, which attract them into this drama. They both are lovable characters. The series does not revolve around only one character, but it keeps jumping, from one character to other , in an intersting narrative, and sometimes quirky.

Acting:
Pankaj Tripathi is phenominal. Being portrayed as the main, he does his part well. His facial expressions and the ferociousness in his eyes makes him really look like a Bahubali. Divyendu Sharma is a true maniac, and you'll just love his villainess. His character doesn't really have something that you could conform with, but the way he has portrayed his character is just a delight. He delivers his dialogues effectively, and it is a delight to listen the way he speaks his abuses. The desi-ness in his voice is reaaly awesome.

Vikrant and Ali as the brothers are also phenomenal. They both did their jobs well. Ali's craziness was clearly depicted from his voice, and he never make it feel boring. The other cast also did a decent job. Though their role might have been small, but their characters were equally important to the plot.

Other sections were also handled good, but you might not love them. The direction, cinematography, background music, visuals, prosthetics were well managed. I really liked the way the 4-minute single take scene was shot. The coordination from all departments was clearly visible in the scene, and I must appreciate the director for his creativity.

Verdict:
Overall the series was a fun watch. The characters are lovable, acting is top-class, storyline is a bit predictable, but it had no issues. I would recommend to watch this series, just for fun, as there's nothing socially relevant shown in the series. And do mind, it's an 18+ watch, so don't forget that at all.
