Ryan tells Robert he cannot go through with the plan, while Aaron becomes suspicious when he catches them together. Chrissie confides in Andy about her concerns over her father, while Marlon realises there is more to Rhona's relationship problems than she is letting on. Megan is touched by Sam's offer to be her birthing partner, and also invites Jai to come with her to a scan

Megan tells Sam he cannot be her birth partner, prompting him to storm off into the woods. She follows, only to go into labour. Zak takes Joanie poaching with him, but the trip ends in disaster when she hits the wrong target. Aaron is troubled by his conscience after learning that Ryan's testimony is a lie. Chrissie considers a DNA test, and Jai finds himself with two commitments

Jai sees Megan's car in the woods, and goes looking for her. Sam recovers from being shot, but the doctor who treats him tells the police. When he finds out what happened, he faces a dilemma. Chrissie investigates DNA tests, but Andy persuades her to let it go. Aaron rejects Robert, while Chas learns that Gordon has been charged by the police

Megan kisses Sam after he tells her she will be a good mother, but immediately regrets it, and wonders how she can make sure he knows there is nothing between them. Emma sees bruises on April's arm, and starts to worry that Carly is hurting her when she refuses to explain how she got them. Rakesh privately deals with money worries

Emma tells Marlon that she thinks Carly is hurting April, but is disappointed when he is silenced by Carly's protests of innocence and resolves to take matters into her own hands. Jimmy asks Rakesh for advice, only to find out he has financial problems that he is hiding from Priya. Megan tells Jai he can be involved in the baby's life if he stays away from Leyla, and Doug eavesdrops on a row between Finn and Pollard

A social worker arrives to investigate April's bruises, prompting Carly to break down and tell Marlon everything about losing her first child before making him promise never to tell anyone. Rhona flirts with Tess's replacement, which leads to her and Paddy considering whether they have a future together. The Dingles await Charity's return, Sam overhears heartbreaking news, and things start to look up for Rakesh

Rakesh is consumed with anxiety over his financial problems, especially when the sale of the flat falls through. During his stag night, he tells Jai everything. Marlon finds out about Paddy's affair, and Finn finds problems at the B&B are mysteriously fixing themselves. Cain and Moira believe that Charity will never come back, so offer Noah a place to stay

Charity is released from prison and immediately steals a car, bringing the police to Emmerdale looking for her. Jimmy tells Priya about Rakesh's money worries after a building site manager demands payment. Meanwhile, Rakesh is turning to Chrissie for help. Doug asks Chas some odd questions, Finn begins to think the B&B is haunted, James asks Emma to move in with him, and Rhona tries to make peace with Pearl

Priya accuses Rakesh of lying to her, putting the wedding in doubt. Charity regrets that she has already caused trouble for Cain, but is soon hatching a new plan. Megan lashes out at the nurses over her baby's failing health, but seems to accept the situation when she holds her daughter for the first time. Emma and James begin looking for a new home together

Moira throws Charity out of the house. When the ex-convict finds Ross unwilling to help her, she resorts to using Moses to pressure Charity into giving her what she wants. Megan receives devastating news, and Pearl tries to find a man for Harriett. Emma and James plan to buy one of Rakesh's flats, and Chrissie decides to put the past behind her - while Bernice advises her to think about her future

Emma seems to have gone off the idea of getting a house with James, and Ross realises that she is being blackmailed. He tries to make Charity stop, only to realise too late that she knows his dark secrets as well. Megan makes plans for the future, Doug fears for Laurel's future, Harriet forces herself to go on another date, and Moira is upset when Noah moves into the pub

Ross needs to pay the blackmail demands by the end of the day, so heads into town in disguise with a desperate plan in mind. Charity is curious about what he is up to and follows him, but when she discovers the truth, it brings them closer together. Chrissie finalises her divorce, Leyla has a change of heart, Aaron gets a fright at Gordon's hearing, and Laurel finds out about Doug's misgivings

Cain finds himself suspected of robbing the jewellers when his truck is reported near the scene of the crime. He soon guesses that Charity had a hand in the crime as she uses her ill-gotten gains to buy Doug out of the pub. Gordon feigns illness to garner sympathy in court, Chrissie's new romance may be over before it has begun, and Laurel tells Doug not to come to the wedding

A furious Liv demands the truth from Aaron, and he responds by telling her everything about the abuse he suffered at their father's hands. She later steals Chas' phone and uses it to track down Gordon, planning to confront him in person. Zak and Aaron set off after her. Ashley tries to get Doug to make peace, while Harriet guesses that Laurel is pregnant and Ross tries to get in touch with Debbie

Sandra admits to Chas that she knew about the abuse, but rejects her pleas to give a statement to the police. Liv does not know who to believe as Gordon denies the allegations, while Aaron is unable to get to her. Doug tries to reconcile with Laurel, whose hen night ends in a case of mistaken identity. Andy and Chrissie try to keep their relationship a secret

Ashley and Laurel prepare to retie the knot, but Harriet discovers the vicar is far too hungover to perform the service and fears she will be accused of deliberately getting him drunk to sabotage her ex's wedding. Robert suspects Liv may betray her brother just as things seem to be working out for him, and Rhona fears there is no way back for her and Paddy

Laurel and Ashley's wedding reception is in full swing at the Woolpack, and while the guests are in fine fettle catered for by Victoria, everyone is wondering where the bride and groom might be. Meanwhile, a cash strapped Joanie swallows her pride and asks for a job at the factory, much to Lisa's dismay, and Belle is shocked when her distraught mother suggests she may sell the house so Zak and Joanie can be out of their way for good

Paddy and Rhona appear to make progress in repairing their relationship, but their efforts are derailed when Pierce shows up, demanding to know whether Tess was having an affair. Nicola crafts a set of fake business account reports for haulage firm Home James, in an effort to throw Charity off the scent, and Lisa tries to reassure Belle they will find somewhere new they can call home

Rhona struggles to contain her emotions as Pierce shows her the messages Tess received from her mysterious lover. Eventually, she caves, revealing Paddy as the sender, and propelling Pierce into a confrontation at the Woolpack. Meanwhile, Charity smugly rakes in a profit from her dealings with Ross, but a surprise awaits at the farm, where she finds an empty barn, and Cain waiting

Paddy despairs over potentially ruining things with Rhona for ever, so when Marlon spots her on Main Street, he makes an attempt to intervene on his friend's behalf. At the graveyard, Val's headstone finally arrives, and everyone is taken aback by just how extravagant it is. Meanwhile, Cain is furious to discover his car has gone missing, and immediately assumes Ross is responsible

Moira and Adam are pleased to discover Holly has returned to the village, but it soon becomes clear she has come back with an ulterior motive. David tries to delay the placement of Val's extravagant headstone until Pollard is present at the graveyard, and Rhona agrees to meet Paddy, revealing she cannot envision them rekindling their relationship unless they move abroad - specifically to Germany

Holly's `boyfriend' Dean turns up in the village seeking to collect a debt, so she strikes a deal with Charity, agreeing to help her get Cain back - for a price. Meanwhile, Paddy and Rhona tell Marlon they are planning to go to Germany for six months, but he refuses to let them take Leo too. Plus, Megan brings Eliza home, but Jai is thrown off when she states they don't need him

Holly promises Dean his money and heads to the pub to carry out the plan she has hatched with Charity. She is prevented from going through with the scheme when the fire alarm is set off, leading to a confrontation with Moira in the cellar. Ashley makes a decision about his future, David worries about his father's health, and Marlon tries to come to terms with losing Leo

David persuades Pollard to see a doctor about his symptoms by agreeing to go for a check-up himself. However, while Pollard turns out to only have a minor infection, David may have a more serious condition, which he keeps from his father. Holly is put to work to pay her debts, Harriet worries about Ashley's decision, and Megan promises to sort out an arrangement for Victoria's street food business

Rishi is given a tour of the Dingle household, but Belle tries to put him off buying it, leaving Lisa furious. Cain catches Holly stealing from a customer, while Moira turns to Charity as she comes up with a plan to get Dean out of their lives once and for all. David confides in Leyla about his cancer fears, and Harriet considers becoming Emmerdale's new vicar
