A must watch to see life from a female scenario
this webseries is one the best which I have watched recently! That gripping story line.. the characters acting....they way they potrays their characters..very thing is pulled off perfectly! This webseries is the story about 4 girls who faces difficulties in their life .it's all about how they manage it . We have a journalist,a lesbian gym trainer, a divorced and jealous af mother , and a fat and sweet girl! This whole show is from the point of view of a female gender and with some added up spice of adult comedy, this would surely make you to stick to screen for long time. This would surely entertain you. It has some serious story line, which doesn't make u feel bored . The director tried to maintain the story and entertainment parallel and yeah.! e is successful with that. A must watch webseries if u are getting bored with regular webseries with regular stuff and want something new.

Let me begin by saying, I've never cringed so hard over a show.

This show consisting of two seasons, the 2nd season being released this year. The story revolves around four women who have different personalities who usually come together at their favourite Pub to vent. These women are Anjana Menon a divorce with a kid, Umang Singh a trainer at the gym, Siddhi Patel, who's never felt good enough for her parents and Rizvi Roy a journalist who goes beyond to report news that nobody is brave enough to.
Now the concept of the show was to portray strong female leads, all of them misfits coming together to make a small difference in the world but it ended up being a show that was really awkward to watch, the major issue being how feminism was portrayed. Definely send out the wrong message to its audience, the plot seems horribly rushed the story underdeveloped. It just feels like the story is running in all directions struggling to meet a common point. In the end it's a light hearted watch, which now and then might spark emotions.

The uncertainty is apparent
On first glance what looks like an ensemble of fierce, bold and chic cast, soon turns into a labyrinth of too many ideas. Way too many ideas. It tries to blend the essence of feminism, sexism and 'good girls have fun', resulting in an unappetizing smoothy that is hard to digest.

The show follows the journey of four women Damini (Sayani Gupta), chief executive editor at a revelatory news site; Anjana (Kriti Kulhari), a lawyer, a divorcee, and mother; Umang (VJ Bani), a fitness trainer; Siddhi (Maanvi Gagroo), a distressed maiden. Grappling with love, careers and societal norms they gather quite often at a bar to find solace in the other's company. The issues seem a bit cliche at times, but Umang (VJ bani) is a breath of fresh air in most instances and never fails to grab attention with her surreal on-screen presence.

However, the glamorous outfits and fancy backdrops are done right and make the show quite an eye candy. This precarious heap of viewpoints can be well credited for not being ostentatious and overall, the character and story development is not a complete loose end and may even draw viewers in.

Stir away from high expectations, and show just might even seem entertaining.

With four very different females in the lead roles, the show tries to provide a glimpse into the life of a modern, urban, upper class, upper caste, privileged woman in India. This glimpse is so narrow, that they cannot even get these characters right. Anjana, Damini, Siddhi and Umang are all living in SoBo (South Bombay), which should be called SoMu (South Mumbai) according to Umang, who hails from Ludhiana. These women are shown to be fighting biases about gender and sexuality, even as the makers of the show do little to hide the show’s own stereotypes. The chubby girl is the virgin. The bisexual is the overtly sexual one who’s constantly hooking up with someone. The divorced mother is the one who’s never explored masturbation. And the career-minded startup owner is the obsessive-compulsive loner.
Women with this level of privilege, still face gender-based issues in India. From workplace discrimination and online harassment to safety on the streets, the show had great potential to portray a realistic version. Nevertheless, these characters are shown as one-dimensional caricatures of themselves. The show seems more like Sex and the City with Indian characters, rather than an Indianised version of the same. Four More Shots Please redeems itself from being a wasted opportunity in the last 4 episodes, when it grows organically, and frees the women from fulfilling their specific cliches.
You find yourself rooting for Umang when she falls in love with a woman, and feel her pain when her girlfriend is not ready to come out of the closet. Umang, who has run away from her traditional family to brazenly live her sexuality, cannot bear the suffocation of being in the closet again. On the other hand, her girlfriend’s need to hide her sexuality on account of being a public figure is also understandable. Umang’s former girlfriend, who didn’t have the courage to be open about her sexuality, is shown to be struggling with her marriage and family life.
Perhaps the show’s biggest flaw is its failure to bring out the most basic problems of its target audience: urban Indian women. There are nice moments too but they are few. It’s heartening to see women drinking, cussing and taking the onus of pleasure on themselves. But these are not the only things that define and make ‘real’ women.
Four More Shots Please is something that is rather worth missing than giving a try at all.

Four More Shots Please is an Amazon Prime Original series directed by Anu Menon. The series revolves around the problems faced by four female friends in their personal as well as professional life. They are entirely different from each other. This show targets on women empowerment but fails to deliver a strong message. It stars Sayani Gupta, Bani J, Kirti Kulhari and Manvi Gagroo in the lead roles. The plot has some flaws but every character gave a nice performance and the series had a decent finale. This series fails to bring out the real meaning Feminism. It is suitable for an 18+ audience and all the episodes are streaming on Amazon Prime Video app.

Amazon Prime’s ‘Four more shots please!’ is a coming of age drama series about the lives of four independent working women, well-settled in their lives. The show has a very slow start and I would have definitely not watched it further if I had not read the reviews prior to watching the show. I liked the powerful and dominating role all the lead characters had but that is all. Half of the show had some absolutely unnecessary scenes and some cringe-worthy sexist jokes. Most of the time, it feels like watching a presentation instead of a properly directed show. But the characters made the best of their on-screen time. #chickFlick #feminist #bestOfDrama #friendship #adultery #

Though a hard to digest #sexComedy , this web series has its own colors, This series can be said to have #feminist rules but could have been more #entertaining . Its actually a #oneRoomDrama and cannot be said to prove what it wanted to. The actors in this web series have done a commendable job to prove their existence all through the series but haven't been able to create a replica of the Sex And The City , which they wanted to. This can be said a great series on #friendship but not a one on

As exciting as it's teasers were, Four More Shots didn't reach upto it's expectations. I was really excited to watch this mini series and had took Amazon Prime Video subscription too but, it wasn't worth it. The show had a hold on it's theme of being feminist and sex-comedy but after sometime, it felt pointless. I felt the plot of this mini series lost it's excitement. I loved the friendship between Sayani Gupta, Gurbani Judge, Kirti Kulhari and Maanvi Gagroo's characters but the whole scenario in the story felt unnecessary. Many social issues are addressed here but they could have been expressed and dealt with is a better way. It didn't reach up to my expectations. At first, it was very indulging but it the show lost it's track somewhere in the middle

Strictly Mediocre
Four More Shots Please! is an Indian web series by Amazon Prime Video. It follows the story of four young girls in the city which is Mumbai. The characters are well-written but poorly executed, they feel out of symphony at times and lose the continuity from story line. All four protagonists Sayani Gupta, Gurbani, Kirti Kulhari and Maanvi Gagroo put up a decent act. Even the supporting cast including Lisa Ray, Millind Soman and Prateik Babbar are very effective. It is not a chick flick but it also doesn't take itself seriously and this is where it suffers. Better writing could've elevated the show and brought meaning to it. Watch at your own risk!

Four girlfriends and a crazy ride through 10 episodes showcase the bonds that girlfriends have. Very often, we have heard the saying that two girls can never be friends but most of us, girls, would agree that that is not true. Our truest support systems have been our girlfriends who have had our back through it all.
Four More Shots Please! highlights friendship among women and their unapologetic selves who refuse to bow down to patriarchy, have fun and, love and laugh through thick and thin. A pleasant and decent watch, it leaves you with a strong feeling at the end of each episode. The actors are powerful and dialogue delivery is amazing with the team taking a strong stance on various social issues like body shaming.
However, the show does start to drift away in bits and pieces with the show becoming slow paced at quite a lot of instances. You'd probably start to drift off right in the middle of an episode and it is your determination to see a women-centric show that takes you to the season finale.
If there is anything that is going to keep you going till the end, it is going to be Umang (Gurbani). She is fierce and carries the weight of the show through and through.

Scope of improvement
4 more shots by Anu menon, is about a group of four women who are unapologetically strong. This show starring a talented cast might have missed a mark.
The very basis of the show is feminism, and how modern day women tackle problems. From ambitious to exploring one’s own sexuality, this show does justice in normalizing a woman’s sexual needs and partners (men or women). Each of these woman represents a part of the society which has been shunned and looked down upon owing to the fact that women are “not supposed” to do it.
From showing their blunders to them getting high, this show’s message was genuine yet the over dramatization of the lives of these women makes it a bit unrealistic. The laughs are limited yet this series does dip a hand in dark humour, that too cracked by women.
Overall the show might have delivered the message clear, outlines why feminism is needed yet it fails to sour heights in entertainment, a scope of improvement in the writing maybe.
But, the show finale does give the audience a need or a want to watch the next season.

This show revolves around the lives of four women, each coming from different backgrounds and facing the issues that most women have to face in their lives be it in work or on a personal level. With its unpredictability it makes it a good show to binge over the weekend.
