Beautiful
Yeh meri family directed by Sameer Saxena is a heartwarming series which revolves around a middle class family during the late 90s. Watching the series makes us overwhelm with emotions owing to the fact that it shows the best time of our childhood in a very comical and beautiful way. The series is shot through the view point of a 12 year old boy, showing us various events happening around the household and how the family still went through together. Sibling rivalry wrapped around in love, the silly fights between parents and childhood crushes, this series managed to cover all these areas of our childhood in a very elegant way.
The cast was so natural in their acting, that it seemed like we were reliving our childhood all over again.

Though this might be a bit #offbeat series and would be a bit odd for some but still as a very #cute storyline with Mona Singh in the lead and her family alongside her. This is a #nostalgic series which teaches us all about the value and importance of siblings in our life. Its really different from other series that TVF offers but still proves to be #entertaining enough. It takes you back to your teenage and gves you that 1990's feels when your mother wants you to get up early so that you can play with your siblings and also help her with housework. Its a #bestOfDrama and a #mustWatch for all those who are searching for a comical and entertaining series along with some #emotional drama at the same time

Set in the “summer of 98”, the comedy-drama follows the Gupta family as it negotiates one particularly heated season. Starring Akarsh Khurana, Mona Singh and Vishesh Bansal.
The show revisits those growing years through the travails of 13-year-old Harshu over one summer holiday. It cleverly recreates the self-centred world view of a teenager yearning to break out of limitations imposed by his age and seek greener pastures. When he’s not warring with his mother or sparring with his brother, Harshu is busy agonising over the lack of excitement in his life, frequently turning to his not-older-but-wiser friend for advice.
Yeh Meri Family’s strong point is the way it captures the essence of the ’90s, a time when India was on the cusp of economic, social and cultural change. That conflict between old and new infused an inter-generational dynamic exclusive to that era, which is aptly reflected in Harshu’s relationship with his parents.
Each episode also offers tangible proof of its milieu. The first episode, for instance, sets the scene with posters of ’90s hits including Border, Aflatoon and Pyaar Kiya Toh Darna Kya haphazardly pasted on a roadside wall. Soon after, it relives that other great agony of the decade – the ordeal of winding a cassette tape come loose.
Harshu’s relationship with Shanky creates the best best lines and laughs. Wise beyond his years, Shanky is Harshu’s friend and strategist, frequently reprimanding him or giving him sagely advice as he helps him negotiate the many mundane crises that seem life-defining to the adolescent mind. The two share a particularly memorable moment when Shanky guides Harshu through the process of buying a slam book – that other marker of adolescence – in a stationery shop. Harshul wants the diary so that he can find out what the girl he has a crush on thinks about him.
Ultimately, even though the plot is thin and the humour sparse, the show works by laying on the charm thick and adding a liberal dose of nostalgia, which carries half the story-telling weight.

TVF's Yeh Meri Family is a beautiful web-series, which is portrayed through the words of 12- year old Harshal, or Harshu. His family comprises his father, mother, his younger sister, Dhvani or Chitti and his elder brother Devansh or Dabbu. This story portrays a beautiful image of family, bonding, friendship and important concepts of virtues like respect, discipline and many more.

Harsh is a cute boy, studying in class 8, who tries to give his perspective in every situation and episodes. At the end of each episode, we find out that he has realised his mistakes, if he had made any, or he had done something good. The audience will definitely become nostalgic, being reminded of their school crush, first love, jokes, mistakes, first sip of alcohol, and much more. Truely, it is a cherishable story.

All the seven episodes are available on the TVF Play app. Do check them out!

Family show....
Vishesh Bansal aka Harshu is the hero , villain and entertainer of this series. Now come to second most important character of this series. Undoubtedly Prasad Reddy aka Shanky stand on this position as his performance remind you pairing of Jai- Viru from Sholay.
Story-line of this show proved that Summer vacation is the festival of emotions, entertainment and family drama. Great research work to create the environment of 90s. It is really great inclusion of old things e.g. Comics, Cards, Milk shake with Rooh-Afza, Throwing milk into basin,Fashion TV and many other endless things which create connection with audience. All credit to goes to Saurabh Khanna for his writing skill.
Absolutely Loved It.

Looking for the best Indian 90s show? My friend, you've come to the right place! An enchanting trip down those sweet memory lanes, it is one the best Indian series produced in a while. Driven by content, nostalgia and a yearning for all things old that seem to be lost in the recesses of time, it makes for an excellent watch. The acting is magnificent and does justice to the beautifully written script. From " Jo bachpan mein bhul nahi karte badi bhul karte hain" to " Papa cool dikhte nahi h, Papa cool hain", the dialogues are just perfect. This grips you with its sweetness and teases you with its nostalgia. A great show!!

Yeh Meri Family is an Indian drama series by TVF. It is set in 1998 and showcases a family through the eyes of a 12 year old who is a rebel. YMF might just be TVF's most poignant and mature show. Everything about this show screams perfection. Right from story to direction to acting to the production. The reason behind it's mind blowing success is that it takes you on a trip to your childhood. The biggest demograohic with this show is thepeople who grew up in the 90s and saw the relationships in their family evolve. The nostalgia factor is higher than what you expected. This is the most amazing show I have watched in recent times. I grew up in the 90s and was about to relate to pretty much everything in this show- from the Hindi tuition teacher to summer vacations, to waiting for mangoes! The acting is quite brilliant, and all characters are portrayed wonderfully. This show is probably the only show which we can watch with our family. This show is one of the best with a simple storyline and amazing characterization. The end of this season makes you cry, reliving the old memories and realizing the importance of a Family. I wholeheartedly congratulate the team of 'Yeh Meri Family' for showing sensitive and emotional feeling towards the family. I would recommend everyone to watch it once, you will not regret. #Family #Amazing #cute

SweetSummerOf-98
One word that comes straight in my mind about this web series is mere nostalgia. One can't stop himself from going back to his childhood days , the great summer vacations , it's fun , celebrating birthday with friends and what not. The show keeps the potential of engaging it's viewers to the extent that tears might roll down . This show can be watched on TVF play's official app and it targets a wide variety of audience , can be called a family entertainer. In the final episode you all will wish that the show lasted little more longer. The bond between siblings is beautifully portrayed in the series. Both Mona Singh as the mother and Vishesh Bansal as the father of 3 beautiful kids play there part to their best. You can vouch for the perfect 90's parent in them. The little off and on of the family and the mere realism with which the series is presented is nothing less than a treat. It is a must watch if you are looking for feel good family watch.

Must watch!
TVF’s ‘Yeh Meri Family’ is a soul-stirring and affecting ride to the simpler days of school life. The show is set in the summer of the ’90s and is the story of a 12-year old Harshu and the conflicting emotions he has about his relationships with his family, friends and his crush. It is a nostalgic journey for the viewers and the audience can easily connect to the show. The direction, the cast, setting, music, everything was top-notch. The show throughout had a very carefree and easy-going feel but the last episode is my personal favourite. It ends with a bang, with a few tears in my eyes and a wide smile on my face. The show is a must-watch for all the viewers.

Heart-Warming
Being a '90s kid, this show was a straight nostalgia for me. I can literally connect with each and every episode of the series. Dealing with issues in school, family problems, growing up, change in thinking process, generation gap, everything is touched upon so cleverly, you cannot help but connect with it. You can be from any part of the world and grow up under any circumstance but you will be able to re-connect your childhood with this series. The story is very simple yet, heart warming and hits you with multiple emotions. This is a must watch if anybody hans't seen this gem by TVF yet.

Emphasizing on a simple middle-class family whose none of the members are normal .Every Indian family feels the pressure of coming from middle-class but when its seen from a child's point of view ,plot becomes juicy.Family plays most important role for Indians ,this show in modest ways tries to put focus on how for them nothing else matters when it comes to family as family is universe for them.Story of Dappu is relate-able for every child who has no voice of own, parents shout, order and ignore the opinions of a child. This show is a story of every middle class family who fights everyday and yet stay together in sorrows that come across them.It is about how a child reacts to his parents expectations, frustation and love.

Yeh Meri Family brings out the memory of childhood. It beautifully portrays the childhood of a twelve year old boy who has conflicting emotions towards his family members. TVF did a great a job with this series. Each and every character is perfectly justified by the actors. The bond between two brothers is shown perfectly, how both of them fight, how they create troubles for each other. Harshu’s best friend Shanky has an interesting character. Harshu’s sister is really cute and adorable. The series beautifully portrays the struggles with teenage crush. It beautifully depicts the love of a mother for his child and how a child during his teenage always thinks that she is wrong. This series is a much family drama which will be loved by everyone.

By the end of this i was into an emotional ocean with eyes swollen with tears and full of nostalgia.
This show is like diving into a sea of 90s and taking out every pearl of that time. Summer holidays which was really a festival at that time as study pressure got zero. The show explained the bonding of a family in a quite unique way. I can assure you, you will not only watching the episodes but also reliving the memories.Comics and Shaktimaan forever.
Talking about the characters, Dabbu is busy in holidays preparing for exams, a phase which comes in everyone's life reminding us how difficult those days were struggling for admission in a good college or coaching institute as shown. On the other hand harshu is with his partner in crime shanky does every silly mischief we used to do in our childhood. One of my favourite part of the show is harshu's birthday celebration which reminds me how golden those day were celebrating birthday in school , giving more chocolates to best friends and all of those memories i recalled watching the show made it worth watching.
