The best thing about this series is that the writers were able to bring out the beauty and originality in the series as it is in the book. Set in Maharashtra, this series has almost perfect portrayal of typical Indian (Desi) characters in their true form. Furthermore, the series puts forward a pretty good insight into the criminal world and it's ways. With good cinematography, the cast, namely, Said Ali Khan, Radhika Apte, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, are commendable as well. So if you are in mood for some good, action packed, criminal, thriller, Sacred Games is the right way to go.

The warp and weft of Vikramaditya Motwane and Anurag Kashyap's Sacred Games is love, deceit and chaos hinged on a good-versus-evil hook. The director duo turns the concepts of good and evil on their heads, moulding their lead characters — cop Sartaj Singh and crime overlord Ganesh Gaitonde — as vulnerable and volatile. This cat-and-mouse chase thriller kicks off when the crime kingpin calls up Singh, bearing a simple message — he has 25 days before Mumbai is razed to the ground.

It's a classic Mumbai noir, a world masterfully painted by the filmmakers. So you are spared nothing — the grime of the gullies, gore from body parts scattered on the road, gloss of the silver screen, gangsters and their gunfights.

This hyped web series has an overly simple storyline with an ensemble cast and a lot of twisted encounters. So many that the audience fails to understand that this is like every other web series on Netflix. The distinction is drawn by the International creative director of Netflix herself, "We have experimented with local languages for shows based in different regions of the world and frankly, it has worked for us". This is precisely why it got such a large fanbase in our country, it's because it used local languages, references to our government and well, used masala above everything. But all in all, the storyline, though simple, has a gripping cinematography to back it with and that's precisely why every episode seems intense and heavy. The presentation is brilliant and the mixture of simplicity and grandeur in the screenplay is again brilliant. So in very simple words, it's a must watch for it has an amazing presentation of things we have probably already seen somewhere but watch it nevertheless!

Katekare(jitendra joshi), for instance, a constable, is introduced as a loyal subordinate to satraj an honest cop who has worked hard to attain a one room house for his family. Satraj Singh is perhaps the most complex character khan has portrayed in his career. Nawazzudin Siddiqui, playing a gangster, is reliably brilliant, surrendering completely to gaitonde's methods ,madness and morals. Radika apte manages to maintain her raw agent role full of impact. There are many characters in this series which will bring you to watch this series .and the whole team of Anurag kashyap and Vikram Motwani spelled their magic. Direction is top notch. Even the smaller characters looks relevant to got due to screen presence. This series is totally gripping, thrilling and brilliant it simply is a great show all should watch

It's awesome. Sartaj and Gaitonde's character's are so cool. It's definitely a must watch. You come to know a lot of things you never knew happened. Nawazudin siddique's acting is hats off. He definitely needs an award.

Radika Apte plays a gripping role.the first season ended on a interesting note which made the users question for the next season and made them wait.overall a gripping crime thriller with lots of blood spill and twists.

Nawazuddin Siddiqui as Ganesh Gaitonde steals the show completely and gives you a never felt before high with his story telling skills. Like any other show, this one also has an eternal love story - Sartaj and Katekar's. One thing that Sacred Games promises its viewers is amazing dialogues in every episode. It makes the viewers mutter a "Thanks" under their breaths solely directed to the censor board, every time Bunty or Gaitonde say their dialogues. This series is hands down worth investing time in and the anticipation of the next season is what you'll be left with by the end of it.

Sacred Games is a perfect example of what a group of amazing filmmakers like, Anurag Kashyap and Vikramaditya Motwane can do when they don’t have to constantly worry about their scenes or dialogues getting censored. This is what full creative freedom can do. Because this genre has never been explored so freely and so well. It’s dark, violent, gruesome and beautiful. It also covers mature themes like violence and nudity with great nuance and perfection.
The show’s highlight is the performance of Nawazuddin Siddiqui as Ganesh Gaitonde who is reveting as the dreaded gangster.He makes you feel terrified of him while subsequently making you cry too.The show houses a sprawling narrative filled with a variety of characters and perfectly cast actors. The writing is praiseworthy as it easily weaves an engaging, coherent story involving a large number of subplots. The show is filled with violence and doesn’t hold back in its abuse-ridden dialogues.
Sacred Games is probably India’s most bold series in the streaming industry and is an absolute treat to watch.

With excellent casting , powerfull dialogues , intense scenes and most important charachter imagination . Series starts with showing Ganesh Gaitonde (Nawazudin Siddiqui) contacting Sartaj Singh ( Saif Ali Khan ) and giving him an ultimatum that there will be something devasting in the city and you have 25 days to save the city. This Statement terrified Sartaj Singh and then there are many people who start getting attached to Ganesh Gaitonde .
Outstanding thing which will leave an impact on you would be the extreme and realness which the audience were waiting from so long.

Great series. Actors are so amaing. Acting is so pure. Waiting for season 2? nawaz bhai did an amaing job. Creators should make more series like this and open the dark secrets of our nation

Netflix unveils its first Indian series, a compelling, and mostly familiar, cops-and-gangsters epic. Main reason was to get attention of the local public of India. I watched Sacred Games and I think it is one of the best Indian series till now (as it is the first one too), The story line of the season 1 will not let you get distracted and most probably you will be ended up by seeing all the episodes of season 1.
Coming to the acting part, everybody has done an amazing acting. Especially Nawazuddin Siddiqui, he made the 'Ganesh Gaitonde' alive in the world. His dialogue delivery was also very good. Saif Ali Khan being a police cop as 'Sartaj Singh' done a very good job.
As the director itself is Anurag Kashyap and Vikramaditya Motwane, after making one of his best movies like 'Gangs of Wasseypur' and 'Udta Punjab', he just raised his standards of direction and being a director who shows real world, you don't need to be worried about the screenplays. Everything is showed very realistic with the dark history of India too.
And last I will conclude myself by saying, the series as it is worth watching and you will be thrilled with the story.

Sacred Games is a series of the crucial lifestyle and evolution of a gangster namely Ganesh Gaitonde who became lord gangster from just being a petty thief when he was a kid , then about the rampant corruption in the police department and then finally the petty heinous crimes taking place in the Mumbai city .
The story starts with revolving around the life of an honest police man ' SARTAJ SINGH' played by Saif Ali Khan who is caught up in the court because he was the last witness to a murder that was shown as the mistake of the kid but in reality it was a murder that was willfully done by a policeman and Sartaj SIngh had no choice but to lie in the court or else he could lose his job for just being an honest policeman ,
then the lord gangster 'GANESH GAITONDE ' who became the lord of all gangsters in Mumbai which was know as Bombay back then he had three father one after another the first one was a poor man who would spend all his money on alcohol and come home and then hit him - the second one was a priest who was faultly accused of killing his own wife for having an extra marital affair- and the third one was a gangster who taught him the rules and starting of the criminal world,
then the raw officer which is played by Radhika Apte who is all confused and focused both in the moment to catch the gang lord before anyone else can . Sacred Games is in together a series that gives the viewers an adrenaline rush .

Anuag Kashyap has brought another masterpiece into the entertainment world! this man is surely the king of bollywood crime genre! The game will make you sweat with anticipation and astonishment with the twists and turns. From dirty politics to plots and turns it have everything. Sacred Games is the Indian Game of Thrones!

A bit boring at the starting but slowly and slowly suspense increases. It is worth watching.
