This movie is based on Women Empowerment and is truly #inspiring. On one side being #entertaining and #humorous and on the other side being motivational and empowering , this movie was able to set benchmarks in its genre. Personally, I watch this movie every time I am feeling low or going through some rough time. This movie holds one of the best performance of Kangana Ranaut with some amazing directorship skills of Vikas Bahl along with some amazing music tracks of Amit Trivedi. This movie makes you #feelGood every single time you watch it . It helps you uplift your souls and makes you proud of yourself.

Simply the best. An amazing coming of age film about a young woman who goes on her honeymoon alone to Europe after her husband to be jilts her before right before the wedding. Kangana Ranaut was exceptional in the part of Rani (Queen), a naive girl from Dehli who finds herself and a new self confidence on her journey. Perfection.

Every Indian girl should watch this movie.A middle class girl(rani)and her family will be excited about her marriage but suddenly her fiance calls off their marriage. What do rani do to come out of it?why did she go to Paris..what lessons did she learned there..The title "Queen"is apt and suitable and no doubt that Kangana acting is mind blowing.

A Delhi based girl, Rani who's life gets shattered after her fiancé calls off the wedding thinking her to be of low standards. Rani goes alone for her honeymoon where she discovers herself after being surrounded with people absolutely different from her. In this process she becomes "modern" happy and the queen of her life.
A journey all of us have or should take at some point of our lives - The journey of being independent.

MUST WATCH.

Go for it
A movie made for all those who are searching their ways in life. This movie is about a girl Rani, from Rajori, Delhi. The story is like Rani and her simple mithaiwala family are deliriously happy during the mehendi ceremony, yet even before her henna can darken, the arrogant groom calls off the wedding. After a day, locking herself up in room and crying, Rani comes out and sit with parents and asks permission to go to her Honeymoon all alone. The tickets are booked and she needs to escape the crushing rejection. She goes to Paris and Amsterdam, where she make unlikely friends Vijaylakshmi, Taka, Oleksander and Tim and lives a whole new world in those days. Rani slowly begins to gain confidence by taking control of her decisions. She also realises her cooking potential by winning a cook-off by selling gol gappas (an Indian street snack). She learns more about her friends' backgrounds and begins to understand how different life can be for people in other parts of the world. Vijay comes back apologizing but she rejects him. A great movie to know more about people, life, importance of experiencing new things, and MAKING OWN DECISIONS is what this movie teaches you.

Extremely good film.
To All the Bollywood fan's you should watch QUEEN not because it has a good story no it doesn't the plot has been used numerous times but the journey of Kangana from a shy obedient Rajouri Garden Delhi Girl to a confident open minded today's modern girl is quite awesome. The small moments the little subplots that define Kangana's character is brilliantly written and filmed. Bollywood often becomes predictable but this movie isn't, u ll never be able to guess that such subplots would appear. The dancing of drunk Kangana in front of police scene, the sex toy shop scene, the boob pressing scene there are many more. Kangana's acting is brilliant even the side characters have played their part perfectly. Amit Trivedi's Music as always is amazing it suits the movie there are brilliant songs within the movie which has not been promoted in trailers plus oh Gujariya and Hungama Hogaya would rock any party. Director Vikas Bahl does a brilliant job. Only part where they could have done better is cinematography it is average. This movie falls in the category of very few good women centric movies that Bollywood has created and you can count them on your fingertips.

must watch
The film is amazing. That much you can see from the rating. The 'Queen' in the movie, the heroine looks anything but. She looks like your typical girl next door.
The story goes like this. Rani comes from Delhi's Rajouri Garden area. Her father's owns a sweet shop and quoting his friend in the movie, Rani 'bitiya' is pretty sweet. But in her own words, Rani's always been a good girl, listening to everyone but she's never been able to do anything for herself or etch a real place in the world for herself.
Rani falls in love with Rajesh. And he does everything within his power to show her he loves her too. Soon arrives the 'Rani weds Rajesh' moment. But Rajesh is now a U.K. return and that the reason behind his new-found 'modernity'. This is why he feels Rani's no long 'his type'. And he decided not to marry her right two days before the scheduled wedding. Understandably, Rani's crushed to bits. The tears soon dry, and morning comes. She opens the packed 'shaadhi' laddoos, and while eating them is when she decides that she'll continue her honeymoon trip to Paris and Amsterdam, even if it's just her alone.
Her concerned parents give her the go-ahead thinking this way she'll get to cope with, and nurse a broken heart. She reaches Paris, and after a bumpy ride, soon succumbs to the charm of the place and allows herself to laugh and smile. This is where she meets another Indian girl named Vijaylakshmi.
Read Gayatri Jayaraman's review here.
Vijaylakshmi works in a hotel to support her son she has outside of wedlock. Rani learns a lot from her, most importantly how to be happy. Rani then flies off to Amsterdam, and happens to come across Rajesh. Seeing her like this now, Rajesh soon regrets his decision of leaving her. He soon enters his 'Devdas' mode and sets out to win his 'Queen' back. But will Rani abruptly leave the new life she's discovered and go back to Rajouri with the man who stranded her two days before the wedding? The movie poses this question quite subtly.
Kangana has a done fabulous job playing Rani. She has let her fans and audience know that she means business and is here to be taken seriously. Her portrayal of a girl without makeup, and in Lajpat Nagar jeans - in which she feels comletely out of place the first time she wears them - is more a story of a girl coming of age. Before the movie's over, you realise you're in love with Rani. Rajkumar Rao has also done a great job, and so has Lisa.
One can see that director Vikas Bahl has left no scope for a scene to be made better. Each scene is already perfectly scripted and shot. Amit Triveid's music constantly reminds you of Dev. D's music. All in all, a brilliant package.
I highly recommend this movie. This film is the kind that'll work to make you a better human being, minus the lecture. Do watch!

Watch boyss and learn girls
WOW WOW WOW.
No matter how good i rate it, it'll be less. I love Kangana. She stuns me every time. Her acting, her looks and her innocence, no words. I'm in love with her. In Queen she looked to me like the girl next door.
Queen reflects the true reality of our Indian society, where girls are treated like a use and throw thing. A boy can't be wrong but a woman is always wrong.
Its the story of a very pretty and innocent punjabi lady Rani, the protagonist.
Just before the day of her marriage her feonsay(Rajkumar Rao as Vijay) decides not to marry her, the reason : she doesn't suits his status. Rani couldn't believe him. His reason was so illogical. She brokes down. Her family shatters. She starts thinking about her honeymoon, her already decided trip to Paris. She decides go alone to comfort herself. And here actual journey begins, her solo honeymoon.
Her trip opens her. She becomes fashionable. She meets new people, makes new friends and yes experiences her life's first kiss, 'mouth to mouth one'. ;)
Further, you'll have to watch the movie ;) .
Queen is a perfect package for me. A movie of a hollywood level. Dialogues, music, story, script all awesome. Vikas Bahl did a really impressive job as a director and writer. Locations were really beautiful. Cast very cleverly chosen. The foreign actors, Mish Boyko(Olexander) and Jeffrey Chee Eng Ho(Taka) did played realy a significant part. Rajkumar Rao is a good actor but there was not much for him to di in the movie.
Overall a movie like Queen should always be praised. As such movies have capability of leaving a mark on audience's heart and bring a social change.
I'll give it 4.5

watch it, women!
With all the buzz about women-centric films hogging all the limelight in Bollywood in recent days,Queen is a film which deserves all this attention and for the right reasons.A beautiful storyline with the heartrending journey of a young, innocent girl from meekness and ignorance to self-confidence,Queen is a piece which will be remembered. The eponymous heroine's name turns out to be irony mocking at her life when, despite being the most ideal daughter, and fiancee, she gets rejected the day before her wedding and finds her world of dreams crashing down. To get over the shock, she decides to venture on her pre-booked honeymoon, alone. Breaking free from her image, her community, her society she transforms into self-confident,independent woman when she walks alone in the streets of Europe, and lives with three men in a mess. With her roots deeply etched in her culture, she lets her soul wander, and during her journey becomes the master of her own life. In true sense, she becomes the true Queen-not just a name which her beloved has gifted her,to disguise his authority over her.
When she returns, the same fiance begs for a reunion, but what she does,is surprising but truly inspiring. Watch out for Kangana's soulful performance and the supporting cast who are equally talented. And,women(I am trying my best not be biased),surely watch it to make your spirits dance to 'London Thumakda'
