Sanjay Mehra (Rakesh Roshan) is a scientist obsessed with establishing contact with extraterrestrial life. He after years of hard work succeeds in creating a computer that can transmit messages to other planets. And one day he receives responsive signals to his signals. But he is not able to prove it, and soon his wife Sonia (Rekha) and he meet with a horrific accident where Sonia survives but Sanjay dies. At that moment sonia is prgnant and due to accident he gives birth to a mentally challenged chid Rohit(Hritik Roshan). HisHe is bullied by people and he finds only Nisha (Preity Zinta) compassionate towards him. One day Rohit discovers his father's old computer and calls Nisha to help him in working on it. They follow the instructions that appear on the screen and unknowingly send messages into space. Soon, The whole town witnesses a blackout and a UFO is seen. But no one is able to find any alien. But then Rohit meets Jaadu(alien)and he changes rohit's life by giving him extra powers. The acting ,direction and special effects all work in the favour of the movie.One-time watch

Director (and Papa) Rakesh Roshan has created a movie especially for son Hritik. The role has been specifically created to show is acting abilities and overlook is famed dancing abilities. Here Hritik Roshan plays the role of a mentally retarded boy and has done this extremely well. This role would be the only one since his debut that has truly been written with him in mind. and boy does he need a hit with this one now considering his last hit was KNPH
Preity Zinta looks absolutely stunning throughout the film and is simply good to see. Her acting both serious and comedic is excellent and is well suited to Hritik. Rekha gives an adequate performance as Hritik's mum as does Rakesh as his father.
I lived through the 1st half of setting the scene, expecting the second half to be so much better once the alien is on screen, coz I thought we would be seeing the tackling of a subject not usually dealt with in Bollywood: aliens....
And then once the alien does appear, all we are shown is Hrithik being so great, bla, bla, bla.... No mention of the alien's feelings, or how the relationship between it and Hrithik grows...The only times we see the alien is when it's helping Hrithik.
Anyway, there are a lot of scenes in the movie that are really fun to watch. Dont put too much thought into analyzing the movie, just relax and I guarantee you will enjoy it! :)
