A movie to set your soul free
Esther Shapiro or better known as Esty had been abandoned by her mother when she was three and thereafter brought up by her Aunt and Grandmother. Belonging to the very strict and orthodox Satmar Hasidic Community, she is soon married off, at an age of nineteen. After a year of not being able to conceive a child, her husband feels ashamed as children must be conceived "to make up for the lives lost in the Holocaust"and soon after asks for a divorce. Esty flees New York and reaches Berlin to find her birth mother and to follow and free her musical talents.

This movie is the definition of an Artistic movie. Etsy's acting is so realistic. A great attention to details throughout the movie from her clothes to the architectural decoration. Most women do not have the freedom even in the minute tasks and that's today's reality. Even after so many years of freedom struggles, women in many parts of the world are kept caged. This movie is bound to light a fire in your heart and is a must watch.
