Despicable Me 2 (2013)

Despite a great voice cast and some nice animation, Despicable me 2 never turns into anything other than a boring and weak sequel to a much better film. The plotline of Gru becoming a spy is interesting and could have been very entertaining if the script had been written better but here it just turns out boring and stupid. Lucy is a nice edition to the franchise but sometimes she's way over the top and ridiculously annoying. The villain is totally forgettable and cliché and his motivation doesn't make a whole lot of sense. Some of the humor is genuinely funny but most of time I found myself rolling my eyes and getting annoyed. Despicable me 2 is not terrible but I would highly recommend you just watch Megamind instead.
