      Items appraised include an ancient Yasutsugu katana, or samurai sword, circa 1600, brought in by the same man who sold the shop a Grammy Award in "Bumpy Ride"; a World War II-era Western Electric Beachmaster announcement amplifier, used by the military to direct beach landings, which was found abandoned in a building in the California desert 25 years earlier; and an early 1900s Oscar Onken Company DeLuxe necktie press.
