But the son-in-law tries to look out for the measures to skip the party due to the disliking his father-in-law has for him. But this gives him a way to prove his worth to his father-in-law. Cue the drama. The show is filled with dad jokes and hilarious punch lines with perfect timing. The chemistry between the cast is admirable. The thing that stood out to me was how naturally the comedy fits into the whole storyline. This show will always be one of the most highly recommended shows in my list.

Yaar jigree kasooti degree is the first ever Punjabi web series that revolves around the life of the university students. The show starts with a bang but ends with a whimper. The cast shows an iconic amount of zeal and enthusiasm but as the show progresses, it becomes slightly monotonous. The dialogues deliver quite a few laugh out loud moments with the amazing plot and direction but towards the end, the whole plot went haywire. The thing that put me off about the show was its climax. The show was left amidst some high-wired confusion that will be cleared in season 2. Other than that, I would recommend the show if you are in a mood of a few deep laughs and a good time.

TVF’s ‘Yeh Meri Family’ is a soul-stirring and affecting ride to the simpler days of school life. The show is set in the summer of the ’90s and is the story of a 12-year old Harshu and the conflicting emotions he has about his relationships with his family, friends and his crush. It is a nostalgic journey for the viewers and the audience can easily connect to the show. The direction, the cast, setting, music, everything was top-notch. The show throughout had a very carefree and easy-going feel but the last episode is my personal favourite. It ends with a bang, with a few tears in my eyes and a wide smile on my face. The show is a must-watch for all the viewers.

TSP’s ‘awkward conversations with parents’, is a humorous story of a teenage boy and the perplexing moments that arise in his life when certain topics, that are still considered to be taboo in the typical Indian household, find their way into his life, giving rise to some awkward moments and glares from his parents. The show is suitable for every demographic age group and can be found on YouTube. Certain people would find the incidents quite too relatable and the nostalgia that it hits. I found the show highly amusing and there were several moments that made me laugh out loud and others which made me smile and sigh with absolute content. It is a must-watch for all the light-hearted comedy fans.

TVF’s Girsplaining is a show about an ordinary looking small-town boy who looks up to his two friends as advisers when it comes to his new relationship. With the motive of helping their friend, the girls end up making his relationship somewhat troublesome. The show touches a taboo subject but with much ease making it a treat to watch. The clever punch lines and the framing of sex in metaphors add the frosting to the cake. The reminiscence of hostel room talks is a pure feeling brought out by the show. It is an entertaining and carefree web series which delivers quite a few laugh-out-loud moments and is majorly suitable for teenagers.

Tinderella is a Nykaa original web series about an amusing quest of a lipstick-obsessed girl, all set on the journey to find herself a prince- charming. The series consists of 4 episodes about the single girl and her disastrous dates and can be easily accessed on YouTube. The show stealer was the alter egos of the lipsticks used which add the humour to the series with their sassy and over the top remarks as they try to help the protagonist in taking the decisions when it comes to their dates. Apart from that, the whole show becomes slightly monotonous and is no more than a one-time watch. The show was majorly praised by the girls in their teenage years but is suitable for a wider range of audience.
