It revolves three college friends – Naira, Trippy and Karan. Karan is boyfriend to the hottest girl in the college, while Trippy is trying to attract a fresh year student’s attention. Naira is the sensible girl in the group trying to make the guys realise the blunders that they might do. Trippy finally gets the attention of the new girl, but ends up thinking that she is giving him hints, when she is not. Karan ends up thinking that his girlfriend Deepika is adapting herself according to his needs as she is madly in love with him. And he is giving her hints about the same. So overall, the first episode is all about the hints.
The first episode of the series will definitely remind you of your own college days. It has captured the essence nicely. The three main actors are also very good in their act. All the characters are fresh and youthful thus, making a teen drama entertaining. The college campus and the atmosphere is creatively used and improvised. Although the topic of relationship is common, the execution is totally different.
Being shot in Delhi University you can see a Delhi swag in the language of the characters making it relatable. The series holds tackling aspects of college from lectures to canteen to fancy bikes, bunking etc. The writers of College Romance Kunal and Abhishek came up with a very amusing story with very believable characters. A college romance series showing a realistic portrayal of friendship and relationship and maintaining a balance between the two. Thus one may not get bored as there is no typical couple romance.
College Romance is a decent attempt at portraying the love woes during the college days. The performances of the cast are noteworthy.
Also, only thing that stirred up the Yawnmeter was that it was very similar to other web series with the same genres and didn’t had much unique elements in the show.
Yet, College Romance is a decent attempt at portraying the love woes during the college days. The performances of the cast are noteworthy.

Dustbin reviewed Mom & Co.
'Mom & Co', a web series that stars Neliima Azeem, Aditya Joshi, Shreya Mukherji, and others.
Neliima Azeem plays a single mother who has brought up her son, Aditya Joshi, played by Ayush Mehra single-handedly. Ayush is one of the many people who are not very fond of their parents and take them for granted. Everybody who has ever tasted his Aai’s (mother) food has always praised it, giving hearty compliments, which go beyond just formality. Fresh out of job and working at a boring office, Aditya decides to open a business that will make it possible for his Aai’s food to reach much more hungry stomachs and satisfy souls.
The web series has an interesting premise, that of a mother and a woman who’s looking at spending years of old age withering away and therefore decides to take up a business opportunity. The best part about the series is its concept. It is the beautiful story of the single mother, Suhasini Joshi, who has raised her son all by herself, and has reached a phase in her life wherein she is restricted to talking to her diary and penning down her thoughts on paper rather than having a direct conversation about them with her son/well-wisher. Mom & Co. is a story that is relatable on a spiritual level, a story of a mother and her son, a son who takes his mother for granted. A son who is ungrateful, rude and selfish. Our mother is someone who does so much for us, for her children, and we rarely take a moment to appreciate it, because it’s her duty. Mom & Co. works like a mirror that will make you contemplate your actions and be considerate, for at least a moment. Neliima Azeem does a good job of playing the understated and ignored family member while Aditya Joshi does a good job of playing the corporate culture young man. It’s refreshing to see Ayush in a role that puts forth his amazing talent to full potential. Ayush’s Aditya is an insolent yet a considerate son, who is just too much in his own head, and Ayush portrays the role with astonishing ease.
Mom & Co. is a sweet and brilliant series that explains a mother-son relationship, with utmost clarity. A must, must watch.

A peek in the lives of three corporate workers- Dheerendra, Rakesh, and Kabir and their 9-5 day at the office, highlighting how ‘men will be men’ when it comes to friendship, women, and working their job. The 8-episode, time-saving web series manages to cover a day in the corporate world perfectly, proving that when you have your concept perfected, time doesn’t stand as an obstacle. The first episode, totally dedicated to character introductions, sets up a clear outline for the series. Also, the time shown along with each episode title defines the setting and background for the story nicely. All in all, bonus points for outlining the plot, in a crystal clear manner.
Kabir, Abhay, and Manju carry out their roles charmingly, making it an entertaining watch. The supporting characters add ‘chaar Chaand’ to the storyline, blending in with the plot and lead roles amazingly. Imperial Blue’s ‘Men Will Be Men’ campaign, the essence of the whole web series, is portrayed brilliantly, making it relatable and engaging for the audience, with a touch of humor. Their ads have proven to be clever and entertaining; this web series further reinforces their sheer creative brilliance. Do not skip the beginning, the title track is upbeat and something you could listen to on repeat. Apart from the fact that it leaves you wanting more episodes, there is nothing wrong that will stop you watching the series.
Short, sweet and funny- Dil Dosti Daftar is a must watch for its time-friendly portrayal of office friendships, love, and drama.

'What’s Your Status', a web series about men and their relationship stories – basically, the status of their current romantic life. What’s Your Status has a formidable task – that of telling three seemingly unconnected stories in a linear manner. So, we have a college student who’s about to experience his first love, a guy who’s suddenly finding out that his love life was a farce, and a young married couple who are happy with themselves but sometimes, ambition of a superb relation rears its beautiful head. The three directors, Prateek Prajosh, Amit Mishr and Madhur Agarwal, had a big task in front of them, and they have done justice to their craft.
What’s Your Status has some of the best performances we have seen, with the cream of the crop being Abhay Mahajan as the married man who is struggling to find time for his wife. The first two episodes are out, and Naveen Polishetty shines in whatever he’s given. We are sure Manjot Singh, who became a household name with the Fukrey franchise, will evolve his character with a smashing performance as the show progresses. The female cast also gives great support creates great characters. Plabitha Borthakur, Anisha Victor and Megha Burman give great support and make this series one of the most watchable. The three lead characters of the show – Balu, TJ, and Bharath make a great mix of characters, each with a different personality, different traits, and a different story. The show has given equal importance to all three characters and has not sidelined or overshadowed one over the other. The characters are very relatable. Whether you are single and looking for a relationship, committed to someone, or married, you will relate to the different characters in the show and what they go through.
what’s Your Status has it all, great direction, a warm, emotion-filled story and a screenplay that knows how to get the best out of their star cast.
The show has a well-written script. The incidents portrayed in the show can happen to anyone and have a realistic feel. The storyline is not absurd or outrageously unreal. The show has a perfect balance of emotions and humor.
The series is a job well done in all aspects – be it storyline, acting, or cinematography and editing.
What’s Your Status is one of the better web series out there.

Dustbin reviewed Imperfect
'Imperfect' a bittersweet slice of life web series that stars Samridhi Dewan, playing Isha Sanghvi. Isha Sanghvi is an urban, pretty young girl who’s not having the time of her life. Her boyfriend breaks up with her, she loses her job and her life is a general downturn. Isha has to come to terms with the reality as well as the fact that life is full of imperfections. Aiding her on this journey is a 55 year old sassy life coach, Simmy, who teaches her self-worth and love. Isha’s character is very relatable. Just like her, we’ve all had our own perceptions of life – a well-thought dreamy fairy tale story with a royal romance – and then reality hit us hard, which we dealt with by making up scenarios in our heads where our badass alter-egos bravely faced the baddies of life. Isha’s messy life is something we can all relate to. The show takes us on a journey through the realities of life. It is an interesting take on the imperfections in life, and it also talks about the importance of loving oneself.
Although the show has a lot of dramatic effects, it is still a realistic storyline which increases the relatability quotient. The script is well-written and the hilarious one-liners will definitely bring out a chuckle every time..Samridhi Dewan does a great job of bringing out the comic elements and creating an emotional connect with the audience.
Susmita Mukherjee is absolutely hilarious as the sassy life coach, Simmy. Chaitanya Sharma, who plays Aditt, has done a pretty good job as well. The supporting cast has also performed really well.
Hilarious Show, Entertaining Storyline and Relatable Characters. Definitely worth watching!

Dustbin reviewed Typewriter
Directed by Sujoy Ghosh and co-written by him and Suresh Nair, 'Typewriter' is set in the quaint town of Bardez in Goa, the centrepiece of which is the haunted Bardez Villa. More than two decades after Madhav’ death, his granddaughter Jenny (Palomi Ghosh) moves from Mumbai along with her husband and two children. The family moves into Bardez Villa and the quiet Goan town starts ratcheting up a high body count. Three seemingly natural deaths take place in quick succession, all of whom have one thing in common: Jenny. As the police led by inspector Ravi Anand (Purab Kohli) begin their investigation, a precocious group of four children – Sam (Arna Sharma), Nick (Aaryansh Malviya), Gablu (Milkail Gandhi) and Bunty (Palash Kamble) – start a parallel probe into the mysterious past of the villa and its erstwhile resident novelist. A shape-shifting ghost turns out to be on the loose, spilling blood in Bardez after assuming the form of Jenny. Competing for villainy with the supernatural entity is Amit Roy (Jisshu Sengupta), a shadowy character who wants to get his hands on Madhav’s typewriter.
'Typewriter' comes off as an Indian riff on Stranger Things and The Haunting of Hill House. We got extremely strong Stranger Things vibes. It’s not exactly the same — here’s it’s little kids chasing ghosts in the present day, not teens dealing with monsters in the ’80s — but the similarities were evident.
With a group of kids as protagonists in many respects, it does feel more like a family adventure than a classic horror series. It does work pretty well though, and it’s funny to experience their little insights. Though it lacks chills, Typewriter keeps the plot twists coming, and Sujoy Ghosh’s experience with the thriller genre comes in handy in this regard. Palomi Ghosh is perfectly mysterious in her dual role as Jenny, playing both the haunter and the haunted. The usually easy-on-the-eye Purab Kohli pulls off the look of a dowdy police officer who could desperately use a hair cut and a shave. The children provide the series some fun moments and the leader of the brat pack, played by Aarna Sharma, puts in a charming performance. The short running length and the element of intrigue makes Typewriter an easy binge, but the series would have worked much better if it had more haunting and less hunting into the past.

Dustbin reviewed The Holiday
The series begins with the four at the airport, with Adaah playing Mehak, Aashim Gulati playing Armaan, Priyank Sharma playing Patrick and Veer Rajwant Singh playing Kabir. As the quartet reach Mauritius, they begin what they think will be an alcohol fuelled adventure but looks like life has other plans for them. It’s revealed that one of them has been sacked and he is now under pressure to complete a presentation by the weekend. The Holiday is a montage of epic adventures and misadventures that follow when best friends come together for a crazy ride. The story is full of fun and entertainment and one that will resonate with people. Adah Sharma is her usual chirp self, so that works in favour of the series. Veer Rajnwant Singh is a talented actor and we look forward to him performing his role. Aashim Gulati and Priyank Sharma have yet to reveal their story arcs. The performance played by all the actors are up to the mark. The background and shooting in Mauritius was so pleasuring to the eyes. Overall, this series is something to watch.

Dustbin reviewed Soulmates
Priyanshu in search of a female lead singer Tripti of a rock band called Molten Rock from Shillong happened to meet Anshul, his old school mate in a transport stand at Shillong. Anshul was on her bike ride expedition across NE India. Both of them coincidentally stayed in the same hotel where Priyanshu told her the reason for his visit to Shillong. They visited a cafe the following night in search of the singer from that rock band. But to their bad luck, she was not there. To their inquiry, both of them go to know that the band had got another commitment to follow and would not be performing or will be in the city for a few days. Meanwhile, Anshul seemed to meet one of her cousins who tried to pursue her to go back home.
Each episode reveals as much as it conceals and not in a pretentious way – the conversations seem real and a large part of it has to do with the dialogues. The most beautiful part of the series perhaps is how it gets you hooked to it with just its two protagonists, their life stories and the conversational-style of filmmaking that we don't get to see often in Indian shows and films.
Both Priyanshu and Anshul are in top form as they slip into the world of their namesakes.
It's also interesting to see the protagonists addressing the thoughts, that usually surround the minds of 20 somethings, with just the right words – like the denial of the pain of rejection under the guise of things are not working out or the 'fine line' between impulsive plans and original ones to list a few. The background score, cinematography and the scenic locales of Shillong - all blend well together leaving little to no scope for distraction. Another point that earns Soulmates a brownie point is the length of its episodes which can fit into your schedule
Sure it's seeped in hues of nostalgia but it's all at the moment and that makes Soulmates a refreshing change from the usual run-of-the-mill shows.

Dustbin reviewed Bombers
The web series is about the struggle that a team goes through, not just to keep them adrift in the game of football but to salvage their home ground which is at the risk of making way for a mall. The web series stars Varun Mitra, Aahana Kumra, Sapna Pabbi, Zakir Hussain, Ranveer Shorey and Prince Narula and others. The web series stars with a young journalist, Andy (Sapna Pabbi) wanting to make a documentary on Bombers, one of the oldest football teams in the city. She sets up meetings with everyone associated with the club, including the captain Badol (Varun Mitra), the team and ground owner Somu Da (Zakir Hussain) and the new coach, Ranvir Shorey. The story unfolds then, in a series of flashbacks, with all of them relating their experiences to the young, plucky journalist.
Bombers is a sports drama revolving around football, a game that India’s youth enjoys as much as cricket. Those who came to watch the series for the game won’t be disappointed. The series also bluntly talks about classism by addressing the two most taboo topics in India- gay relations and red light districts. The mention of Sonagachi, India’s largest red light district, situated in West Bengal is enlightening and gives a view into the lives of children raised there- brief, subtle yet impactful. In the ensemble cast of Bombers, the Crime Patrol famed Anup Soni stands out with his character Manik Dasgupta. A ruthless politician with a veil of welfare and prosperity, Anup justifies his character to the T. Matching him in his brilliance is Ranvir Shorey, who plays Debu, the new coach of the team. Drunk and hopeless, his determination and will shines through, an embodiment of hope in the dark times. Even the supporting cast of Ahana Kumra and Sapna Pabbi does a good job in the unravelling of the story.
Bombers tries to add character and depth to the story by exploring subplots of different characters, but fails as they all seem unbaked and hollow. The six-episode series is short, but seems to go on forever due to the sluggish pace of the plot. Because of this, even if the series ends on an interesting cliffhanger promising an upcoming season finale, viewers are left dissatisfied. Bombers talks a big game, but fails to deliver on it. Bombers could be much more than what it is right now.
