Watch it for Reality not Entertainment

Zero Dark Thirty starring Jessica Chastain features the actual chain of events that led to the capture of Osama Bin Laden in Pakistan. Except for the slow start, the director Kathryn Bigelow gets full credit for handling the execution of the movie well, so that one is always occupied by whatever's happening in the movie.

There comes a movie in every successful actress’s career wherein she demonstrates her versatility by the virtue of certain off-beat role. The role of CIA agent Maya is that role for Jessica Chastain. She has done an amazing job in portraying an agent who is cunning, persistent and yet vulnerable.

Hence my advice is to watch this movie with a patient mind, which you will realize, does pay off in the end. Another thing that was worth watching about the movie is that, the scenes that are shot in Pakistan makes you realize how similar in looks to India it actually is.

The film is based on first-hand evidence of true events. Although the film leaves a big mark on its entertainment side. There was no intensity in the film to create a curiosity for the viewer. The film goes on straight and clean. There was no "edge of the seat moments " in the film.

Acting: Jessica Chastain did a fantastic job as Maya, the CIA officer. Although all other character were not under light that much and didn't shared screen much but did a great job with their roles.

Film: Direction of the film was too lousy. There was no suspense created or felt during the film. Everything was easy going. The makers wanted the film to look authentic but a little bit improved direction and dialogues could have helped the story. Everything during the manhunt was pinned down beautifully into this single film. I appreciate the authenticity of building and vehicles and people shown in the film.

Final Verdict: Overall I give the film 2.5/5. You can enjoy the film one time.
