I was quite surprised to see an '8' rating in IMDB for a movie belonging to the horror genre, wherein also their were ample discussions in the message board as to whether this movie deserves such a high rating... so I went to the theater to see what the fuss was all about... and boy wasn't I satisfied from the long prevailing desire of a hair standing horror movie......
From the director of Saw, Dead Silence and Insidious comes the movie that makes you undertake the same experience people like me long for... If you are meek like me and watch this movie alone, you would jump off your chair quite a few number of times. Many parts of the movie are visually awesome and hence taking the license to crime I would say that James Wan is the Christopher Nolan of this genre.

Be ready to be scared out of your pants. Conjuring is one of the best thrillers and perfect for a halloween night. If you love horror this is the one to watch.

Based on the true case files of Ed and Lorraine Warren , the Conjuring is one of those movies which has been a huge success at the box office . Its been remembered because of its jumpscare scenes and paranormal events . Due to the story is based on the time of early 70s hence all the things we see , experience is pretty classic and has a feeling of nostalgia. Its been directed by James Wan and hence be ready to be at the edge of your seats while your heartbeat rate increases due to the horror and disturbing scenes in the movie . the only drawback of the movie is its ending which is not that good as the movie! However its a good horror movie overall...

This movie is unlike all the other wannabe so called "horror" films and had left me palms sweating, nail biting, sinking all the way down in my chair.A must watch for all the die-hard horror fans.
The sound effects, unsettling music and eerie mood kept me in a state of alarmed anticipation.

It's a good horror movie with great horror timing. I liked the story of anabelle doll. The scariest scene I found in this movie was the ghost saying, " Wanna play hide and clap" to one of the demonologists. It's one of the best horror movie I've ever watched.

The Conjuring" is one of the better supernatural films to come out in the last few years. It's scary, intriguing, and highly enjoyable. The movie has a very 70's feel to it, especially the cinematography, and the story is pretty simple, yet it flows very well. Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga are great together as the Warrens. Really, the entire cast was great. This is a great movie to watch and get scared with your friends. I highly recommend it.

Omg! This is the scariest movie ever! Usually English movies don't scare me but this was definitely an exception.
Its more scary than exorcism of emily rose.
However people who love horror + thriller should definitely watch this movie alone in a dark room, it would only add to the fun.
Warning: not for the weak hearted!
