Heart Warming
This was honestly the first Indian web series I had watched and I fell in love with Barun Sobti all over again. Even though it was only for 9 episodes, it hit my heart hard. We are generally used to watch these type of stories in the middle of the daily soaps but this drama detached all the melodrama's and attachment with several supporting characters and concentrated on rather these two characters Haider and Meera.

Instead of dwelling into the backstory and family drama, the main focus remained on the wedding and the on-growing flirty friendship is what attracted most of the youth to this web series. After watching several forms of love stories on Indian Television, watching Tanhaiyan made me actually connect with it and get that heart warming feeling than thinking of which evil family member might start some new conspiracy now.

Meera(surbhi Jyoti) and Haider(Barun Sobti) meet during their mutual friends’ wedding and are instantly drawn to each other. A hookup later, both of them realize their love for each other. But here, the antagonist is not a person, but their own demons. Both of them are held captive by painful memories of their pasts. Tanhaiyan follows the journey of this emotionally scarred couple, as they not only discover love but also themselves.
Surbhi Jyoti shines as a headstrong, yet a broken woman. She is equally convincing in romantic as well as emotional scenes. Not to mention, she shares crackling chemistry with her co-actor.
The aesthetics of the series are simply too good. Apart from styling all the actors in dapper outfits, the web series also scores high on production value. The sets are extravagant which make the show look like a big budget movie. The background score impresses. Good looks kept aside, Barun Sobti’s characters have had a reputation for being straight out of Mills and Boons. He is always the alpha-make, an angry young man with a soft core and turbulent past. Here, he’s also a playboy, mouthing cringe-worthy lines such as “a girl can get into my bed, but not in my head” The actor needs some serious palate cleansing. The romantic scenes are extremely cliche, some of them being a total rip-off from Bollywood.
Overall the series sure looks half-baked but if you’re someone who appreciates a feel-good romantic drama where two lonely characters meet each other and hit it off instantly and separate instantly only to reunite again instantly, then you might as well give this one a shot.

Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gum
A Khadus and a meethi Churi falls in love, this love story is a roller coaster from wit to comedy to sensual-ism to heartbreak. A typical Bollywood movie in the form of web-series, and what makes it Tanha! they want to be together but can't ( How sad!) If you are a bollywood fan then this series is meant for you!

The journey of Meera and Haider who meet at a wedding and eventually fall for each other. But as destiny opens few doors of their past memories, they face their own darkness of life.
I've enjoyed watching this sizzling chemistry. The title song is extremely beautiful and perfect for any mood.
I recommend everybody once to go through this.

Treat for the fandom
A friend (huge Barun Sobti fan) had suggested me to watch this web-series. I thought of giving it a shot nonetheless. Not absolutely disappointed but, I guess it is not in my most favourite ones. The acting of the cast (except Surbhi) was unsatisfatory and it mostly felt like a typical soap opera. The story deals with two strangers who meet in a wedding of mutual friends and discover how they are connected to each other's lives and how unaware they had been. They eventually fall for each other only to abstain later. The story is showcased beautifully with mesmerizing wedding and partying occasion. The series is definitely treat to watch because of the beautiful pompous dances, shimmering lehengas, gorgeous-looking ladies and stunning men with special mention of shayaris of the male lead. And yes, did it remind of Yeh jawaani hai deewani! All in all, it felt a good choice if you want a heartfelt emotional bollywood sort of drama.
