Lucifer (2016)

Surprisingly good
Lucifer is an American drama-comedy series originally by FOX but now with Netflix. It is based on the DC Comics character of the same name. The lord of hell Lucifer abandons his home and moves to L.A. to run a nightclub and solve crimes with a detective. The premise was interesting enough and I was sold. The show brings in supernatural elements and portrays them in a very human manner. It also raises very good questions about who really is the devil, Lucifer or God? The show works because of the dynamic between Lucifer and Chloe and good supporting characters. Tom Ellis was born to play this role and he plays it like that. This show fulfills the requirements of a person looking for drama, comedyor supernatural show.

This is my most awaited tv series as I wanted to see the real sense of Lucifer, the prized creation of God which was then sent to Hell, but the directors have put it so creepily that you would find it very catchy. Plus no has ever portrait Lucifer in such a comedy character. It shows us that Gods will is is the optimum will and he has been doing and creating a cyclic path around his son so that he might not be able to come through it. The hell in this series is the most unthoughtful part as it is a place where your wrongdoings are repeated endlessly. Also in this, every angel is seen coming to the earth to take Lucifer and some misfortune occurs to them.

Doesn't Get Boring
Lucifer, #LordOfTheUnderworld #HeavensOutcast #FallenAngel, seems such a badass but when that same Lucifer comes to Earth saying he's quit hell, looking for a new life, that in Los Angeles, and the silver lining, he speaks British, along with the only thing that gives him the kick is being Civilian Consultant to the LAPD, catching bad guys and bringing the victims to justice and all, try not to smirk or smile. The show maintains its grip by showing Lucifer's family one by one, who come to Earth too, along with the budding romance between Lucifer and the detective (like that wasn't expected) and Lucifer going therapy, yeah yeah the devil's got feelings too. Apart from Jerry Bruckheimer's production, Tom Ellis is #witty and just brilliant as Lucifer. Its worth trying. 1 episode won't hurt. XD

Surprising!!
I have been underwhelmed by most of the new shows in the past 12 months. Lucifer was a complete and welcome surprise. The interplay of the actors is completely natural for a cast that is new to each other. The casting of Ellis as Lucifer is perfect. Loved the soundtrack opening with Ain't No Rest for the Wicked by Cage the Elephant and finishing with Always Something by the same band. Doesn't hurt he's driving a classic black stingray convertible. I am hooked. So glad it is LA and not Vegas. I hope they can keep up the humor over a season and that it can keep from being patronizing or moralistic (which I suspect many of the negative reviewers would appreciate).
