Love, Lust and Confusion (2018)

Confusion confined just to love and lust would have made for great drama, but it has found its way into plotline and actors' headspaces. Extremely slow narrative and redundantly long segues aren't working in the show's favor either.

It all begins when Poroma Sarkar (Tara-Alisha Berry), a lively, adventure seeker makes a plan to move from Kolkata all the way to Bombay on a journey of self-discovery. Her fiance and soon to be husband is leaving soon on a long business trip to America, thus making it an ideal opportunity to discover herself beyond their relationship. What seemed like a delicate and innovative idea for a TV show soon turns into a chaotic mess of unreasonable impulsive actions. Beyond new work and acquaintances, Poroma's experiences also involve sexual exploration and mindless infidelity attempted to veil as self-care. At one point she sleeps with her roommate's boyfriend.

Half of the stuff happening on screen doesn't make sense and the other half is repulsive. Poor writing, performances, and direction are equally to blame. Watch the show only if you care enough to find out if retribution awaits for Poroma.

Starring Rajat Barmecha, Tara Alisha Berry and Jaya Bhattacharya, 'Love, Lust Confusion' is the story of Poromo- what she wants to do with herself and her life? So, what does a normal human being with a loving partner want? Drama and lots of cheating to show how bad of a person you're? What the fuck is this show even wanting to portray? It lacks a structured storyline, good acting and most of all basic sense. I just don't get the point of this show. Safe to say, it's just another shitty show that you can be sure to skip without the 'fear of missing out'.

Love, Lust and Confusion is an Indian drama web series by Viu. It follows the story of a girl about to be married who shifts to Mumbai and feels like she has to live her life to the fullest. What could have been a joyride has been reduced to vulgar content with no storyline. The acting is substandard and the show thrives on only sex. It so bad that I find it difficult to understand how did it get a second season. Time is precious, so don't waste yours by watching or even thinking about watching it.

Love, Lust and Confusion is a comedy of errors and a coming of age story – with a gamut of confusions and perplexities, love and desires, choices and dilemmas mixed with an ensemble of lovable characters who depict today’s confused selves of the millennials. Revolving around the life of a young girl Poroma Sarkar, Love Lust and Confusion is the perfect depiction of the age of indecisiveness, the age of physical exploration and the age of confusion. The show also explores the element of polyamory and depicts the perspective of youngsters towards it. The lead actors look natural in their parts and suit their characters perfectly. The supporting characters too, don’t seem unnecessary and each of them adds their unique element to the story. Rajat Barmecha shines the most as the vulnerable drummer with a heart of gold.
The punches are not forced and the dialogues are witty. The series is replete with situational humor peppered with some interesting twists and turns.
The lovemaking scenes are shot aesthetically and are not cringe-worthy like a lot of other content on the web space currently.The background score and the aesthetics of the show are worth a mention. While the music impresses, all the actors are styled impeccably and the set design is modern and has a lived-in appeal.
The content is fresh and unlike what you’ve seen before: a girl set out on a series of adventures before getting hitched and filling her diary with memorable experiences to hold on to. Each episode is a breath of fresh air.
Overall, Love, Lust and Confusion is a good attempt at depicting the vulnerability of today’s youngsters with respect to the confusion in the head, about love and lust.

Just like the name states, all this series contains is "love, "lust" and lots of "confusion".

It's not like, all the time you want to what serious dark themed series/movies right? For times when you just want to sit back and relax while watching something entertaining which can be relatable to, if not your own life, your friends, Love Lust & Confusion is a must watch.

In today's world, not only guys but girls are hella confused, especially when it comes to who them like and who they love. You might be in a serious relationship and think the stranger in front of you is hot which brings up new thoughts in your mind. Now, especially in a time when you are about to get married, lots of last minute thoughts enter your mind, even the ones which are unnecessary and create a mess inside your brain.

"Galat time pe, galat cheezey dimaag mein aati hai", this is a common issue with any guy or girl in our age.

Mixing all these last minute drama (before her marriage), Poroma is confused between her lust for one guy, hiding a hideous truth (hoes over bros code) from her best friend, and keeping her engaged life with her childhood sweetheart Karan.

Life is full of confusion when it comes to us youngsters and surviving through it with problematic drama never leaving you, is a worthwhile drama series.

Basically portrays the life of Poroma Sarkar, and the twists that take place in her life, all of a sudden due to her strange guilty pleasures. It is intriguing how a girl leaves a perfectly happening life behind her and runs after a happy-go-lucky unpredictable and insecure life, which has no future but a wish of fulfilling all guilty pleasures and unethical doings. Cannot say that it is a must watch, but the tangles of relationships and confusion that Poroma faces in her life, and the toll that it takes on her life, are undesirable actually.

One of the many things which vexes me is the fact that how it is encouraged in movies and series to just leave everything which is good in your life and go on an unconventional road which has no justified ending. Okay I understand she wanted some thrill but who just leaves everything behind including their love of their life and goes on a trip all the way to Mumbai to fulfill it? . The plot is absolutely intriguing, it's fun to seen how and who she ends up with and as to what decision she takes. In a society where everyone our expected to do something conventional here comes a story full of twists,mistakes and judgement. Definitely a watch for girls.

The crazy and ecstatic list comprises of different men she wishes to experience before settling down for the One in her life. In this sexy crazy tale Poro is all set to mess up things for her and end up falling in love in the most unexpected form. This is an thinkable coming of age story of a Bong who is ready to go with the flow and experience everything around her, detailing her experience is what she does for living in Mumbai. She is confused in this Love and Lust and arrives at no conclusion for herself.
