The film deals with a highly relevant and relatable subject. The charm lies in its simplicity where it never goes over the top ( except for the Step Up-esqe dance number in the end which is indigestible) . The characters are simple and so is the plot where even the solution shines out. There are several subtle elements which makes this film worth to pause (how we get rich and individualistic) and think about and at times laugh too, while it stays away from being political. However, I would have loved if a certain stern stand was taken on the issue such as the debate over RTE in private schools vs improving standards of government schools and of course profiteering. Though,
one does appreciate the class divide based on language and condescending treatment of local language speakers . Irrfan shines so do the other actors. A good watch.

Hindi medium is family movie and should be watched by every Indian. The movie shows how today's society give so much importance to English language rather than their own hindi language. People judge the standard of a person by their language, if he speaks fluent English then he is smart and intelligent and if not then he maybe illiterate.
Irfan Khan plays a typical delhi-6 man who runs a ladies garment shop but his wife wants a high standard life in area like Vasant Vihar. Then she wants to send their daughter to high standard English medium school. The whole story then revolves around he get admission in english medium school and so many diffulties comes on the way of process of admission.
All songs in movie are in Punjabi and they are very nice. Direction is amazing and movie gets little emotional in the climax. The solo speech given by irfan Khan in the end of movie is cherry on the cake.

Awesome movie, we are Indian are connected to this movie as we all suffer from the concept of the movie. Irfan khan is awesome and smash every record of acting by its great acting talent.

The film shows how language has divided our society. How the people who speaks English are always considered as smart while the people who speak Hindi/regional languages only considered as low brain. The film depicted the issue in the more satirical way, lot of comedy and making people realize about the issue that they should pay attention.
Bollywood now a days making really great films but sadly they don't get that much appreciation

A movie which is relatable as anything. Irfaan Khan and Saba Qamar left no stone unturned to do justice to their roles. The movie worked because it is topical. Having said that, subject of the movie is not the only thing that made movie a hit, it is the leads and other characters who took the movie several notches higher. Mallika Dua's cameo stands out as it really stole the show. The movie has feel of sadness, happiness, reality and everythinh the makers wanted the movie to had. It struck right chord with the viewers. R.K. Chaudhary,'s keen eye for period made this flick which delved in reality and was really the need of the hour. Thhmbs up for the flick!

Hindi Medium is a film directed by Saket Chaudhary. Knowing what Saket has directed previously I had no hopes for the film. But as I saw the trailers for this film, I thought that this a was going to be a great film. And man, it was a great movie.

Plot: Raj and Mita struggle to get admission for their daughter into a good school.

Story and Direction: The story is very real and mostly simplistic. No gimmicks, high-fi songs, etc... It can be termed as a slice of life kind of film. The scenario of the high society, middle class and lower class is very clearly shown in this film. You can feel for the characters in each and every scene. The film never bores you. The length of the film is also perfect. The only fault with the film I can say is the cinematic liberties that it took. Some of the scenes felt that 'Is this possible??'. Other than that , I can't fault the film in any way.

Acting: Irrfan has again proved as to why he is what he is. His comic timing is impeccable. Saba Qamar was also good as the concerned mother. Deepak Dobriyal was great as the poor man. He also got many laughs in me. Amrita Singh was also good. Sanjay Suri and Neha Dhupia in cameos were also good.

Favorite Scene: It would obviously be the scene where Shyam Prasad hits the mosquito and shows it to Raj and Mita. That scene was hilarious. I couldn't stop laughing in that scene.

Music: Sachin-Jigar put together a very nice soundtrack. It doesn't actually add to the run-time of the film, that songs mostly do. I had no problem with the remixed Punjabi tracks since it didn't add to the run-time ('O Ho' was played during a dance number and 'Suit' is played in the end credits). 'Hoor' I would say was my favorite track of the film.

Verdict: This again goes to prove that you don't need a lavish budget and songs to make a good movie. A good story with the right cast and crew can also do that. This film is easily one of my favorites that have come out this year.

I am giving it a 9/10.

This movie is one of the best movie that could ever happen in the life of Irrfan Khan. I would rather say that this movie is an ode to all the prevalent educational system in India which is English class favoured. This movie was successful in making this whole scenario quite #humorous and #entertaining at the same time. While being #LOLFunny, it went on to depict the story of a common man who is desperately struggling to give his child the best education taking any means possible to accomplish those goals because he is being judged on his English speaking skills and lifestyle. Its a #mustWatch for all Irrfan Khan fans and all those parents who are struggling to give their children the best education possible.

Hindi Medium a movie which has to be watched by all parents especially who are so obsessed to place their kids in convents and premium institutions undermining the Government institutions without even knowing about their operations. Irrfan Khan strikes again with his flawless acting who plays the role of a rich businessman. The movie revolves about a family who go through all different kinds of troubles to get an admission for their son in a top notch institute in Delhi. The movie is a blend of humour with a little drama and emotion.This movie has a very convincing ending and has touched the public's hearts.
