Frances Ha (2013)

Essentially this is a movie about an aspiring dancer in the city of New York trying to scrape together a life. It is fairly simple with no complicated subplots. Almost every character introduced is a raging symbol of something Frances can't have. If you want a reason to watch this movie, there is a scene where the protagonist talks about how she wants to have a connection with somebody even when their across the room, a connection, a world built just for them even if they're a few meters apart. Its quite beautiful, as is most of the movie. Plus, the entire movie is shot in monochrome.

There is this one scene where Frances is dancing and running across the streets of new york. If that scene does not make you feel good nothing will.
