Political satires have been around the corner in Indian Cinema. And the last addition to it is Ekkees Toppon ki Salaami. It is a well structured satire with a clear message, but narrated in a quirky way. A boy sets out to give a 21 gun salute to his father, who lived a life out of honesty. The screenplay just focuses on the plot, and gets right on the track after 10-15 minutes. There is no time lost in unnecessary stretched romance. That is the best thing about the film. The performances of each and every actor is good. Be it Divyendu Sharma, Anupam Kher, Aditi Sharma, Rajesh Sharma, all were good to watch. Rajesh Sharma gave the necessary tickles with his rather short but comic screen space. The music was good. I found the film good, and it's social message a worth watch. But you won't enjoy this film more than once. Overall, a good satirical comedy drama much needed today.
