An awesome movie which is still and ongoing craze for people who love srk and kajol as couple. Amazing actors. A very classy dramatic movie and can be watched every time.
It clearly depicts the line "love conquers all." if the love is true no one can stop them from being one.

There is a unique love story between Shahrukh and Kajol in this movie. The concept of this movie is different in Bollywood in which one indian family is living London but with indian traditions. The actor shahrukh is a rich boy same living in London. once they both decided to a Europe trip for a month and in starts loving each other meanwhile but the girl's wedding is already fixed by his father in Punjab by the son of his friend from childhood. But the actress didn't want to marry him then many efforts were done by the actor to impress her parents and finally he impressed everyone and got married with her.

At this point, I've lost count of how many times I've watched DDLJ. I may need a Raj/Simran intervention.

Turned it on while doing some computer busywork, and ended up watching it from beginning to end. I'd watched bits and pieces lately but not the whole thing in one sitting. The hotel scene and then the one on the bridge (Turn.....turn) are when the movie really gets into gear for me.

I noticed something I had not caught before. Simran asks Raj if he'll ever be serious and stop joking around. I think they're in Berne and he replies that he will when he falls in love. And if you watch -- he does. The hotel and the bridge are the moments when Raj turns. When he really begins his journey.

I think the movie is out of the world. there are no words for this movie. #cute #beautiful #mustWatch #sweet this is a #intense love story. amazing acting.. amazing direction and amazing story. the amazing love story expressed in this is superbly amazing. this movie had already set records. a must watch epic movie ever created.

This is a movie in which Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol Devagan are the leading role actors. This is a movie with love and family emotions. The actors action is mind blowing. In this movie Kajol goes to her last trip with her friends after which she was going to get married with her dad's friends son who lives in India. Hero also goes to the same place with his friends. They fall in love with each other and realise after they return. Watch this movie this movie to know how he conveneces her parents to marry her.

More than 10 years after the movie was release i thought of putting my comments here. DDLJ as popularly known has surely redefined Indian cinema and its characters. However to me its just another average romantic Indian movie. This movie if at all belongs to Aditya Chopra only. The characters played by srk and kajol could have been played by any other actors as well. Same old Hindi dialogues, same old styles and why do srk replay same and same actor again? The songs are good, melodramatic and touchy. Few scenes in the movies are worth commending. However few scenes like the end fighting sequence were simply useless. This movie did marked a new carrer for srk, kajol and aditya chopra. srk has become a rage among girls. however it would be good for srk not to ride high on this. he should look to aamir khan and leagues of people like Big B. there is a lot to learn from them.

The Movie starts with Baldev Rai (amrish puri) who has a store in London but misses his country. Then the scene cuts to his daughter Simran(Kajol). She wants a dream man for herself but her marriage was already fixed by her father with his friend's son Kuljeet(Parmeet Sethi) in Punjab. Now the scene cuts to Raj(Shah Rukh Khan) who is a lazy,party lover and free attitude person with a rich dad played by Anupam Kher.Meanwhile Simran (and her friends ) and Raj(with his friends) decide to go on a tour of Europe and Both Fall for each other.When balwant comes to know about it. He takes his family to punjab. And Raj follows them and through some tricks wins the heartof the family. Till then Simran's family doesn't know that Raj is the same person whom Simran loves. But one day they are caught and Amrish Puri tells him to leave . In the climax scene, Kuljeet beats him and he fights back.And when he is leaving the heart of Baldev changes and he lets Simran go with him in the famous Train Scene. True the film is stereotypical and exaggerated but it still manages to win people hearts because of the chemistry and simplicity of love shown between Kajol and SRK. This movie is the longest running film in the history of bollywood and is still running in Maratha Mandir,Mumbai.
