Dhadkan (2000)

Dhadkan is another one of those epic movies from the Romantic Era of late nineties to early 2000s. Directed by Dharmesh Darshan, this movie is about a girl played by Shilpa Shetty in the umpteenth love triangle of those times who is in love with a poor orphan Sunil Shetty who is the illegitimate child. Facing the hardships, uncivilised by nature but living an etiquettes life. After rejection by Shilpa's parents, he gets an aim in his life to earn money and prove himself.
The movie is all about the adjustments a girl needs to make as she gets no choice about leading her own life. They marry her to Akshay Kumar who is rich, civilised and a nice guy but since she doesnt love him, the marriage works out to be a sacrifice but later when she too finally forgets about her past and starts enjoying her life again with the support of his hubby Akshay Kumar who cares and loves her dearly.
The second half of the movie witnesses a twist in the life of this arranged couple who had just started to love each other when Sunil Shetty returns as a wealthy man along with the company of his childhood friend played by Mahima Chaudhry. He snatches all of Akshay Kumar's wealth and again comes into the life of Shilpa Shetty who is stuck in two minds and is unable to take a decision.
The climax gives a very happy feeling to the viewers and is just what makes this movie very interesting and unique from other love triangles. Shilpa Shetty will always be remembered for this movie as she gives arguably her best performance of the career. The two male lead roles could have been made more interesting but director portrays them as two matured and understanding persons. Music does make you fall in love with the movie, One may love to watch this movie with their gf/bf. It is worth giving the quality time.
