Romantic delight!
Comprised of all the passion in the world, Baarish is a 20- episode series by Alt Balaji that will have you hooked for its beautiful yet capturing love story. Set in Mumbai, the show revolves around the lives of opposites Anuj Mehta and Gauravi Karmarkar, excellently portrayed by Sharman Joshi and Asha Negi. Mumbai monsoon acts as a cupid in bringing the two together and adds a beautiful and romantic element to the show. The mesmerizing soundtracks feel like the cherry on the top of the cake of this delightful romantic love story. The only thing missing from the show was the realism factor. But other than that, everything from the cast to soundtracks to the storyline and the setting of the show was top-notch.

Typical Balaji show to be honest. Starring Sharman Joshi and Asha Negi in lead roles, this is a quintessential cheesy romantic, family dramas that Ekta Kapoor is known for. Quite surprisingly and thank god (pun intended), this did not have snakes, witches and sorcery. Watch it if you're into this genre.

Baarish is an Indian romance web series by ALT Balaji. It hails the story of two completely opposite people who fall in love. Despite having a very cliched setup the show still manages to grasp your attention. Sharman Joshi is a proven talent and is brilliant but Asha Negi steals the show. You go into the show with low expectations but come out pleasantly surprised. This is one of those rare mature series by ALT Balaji. You can't help but gush over the portrayal of their love. The show is not masterpiece but it ain't bad either. This is one beautiful journey which deserves your time.

'Baarish' is shallow, unoriginal and there is no character for which you will want to go back. Sharman and Asha’s mediocre acting adds to the misery.
Anuj (Sharman Joshi), an ‘adarsh’ son of an uber-rich household, loves his siblings – Rishi and Shreya – like his children. He has worked towards making the family business grow but lets younger brother Rishi take credit for it. He loves his employees like his family. One day, while it is raining, he meets Gauravi (Asha Negi), an employee of the company and offers her a lift. She, like him, is an ‘adarsh’ daughter of a middle-class family. Attracted by her simplicity and honesty, he helps in getting her job back, after she is fired by Rishi.
The first episode shows Gauravi (Asha Negi) being led to jail for an undisclosed crime. The narrative then goes into flashback mode, as Gauravi narrates her story to her defence lawyer, describing the events that led to her incarceration.
At its heart, Baarish is the heart-touching tale of the unconditional, unreserved love that blooms between middle-class Marathi mulgi, Gauravi, and uber-rich Gujarati diamond merchant, Anuj Mehta (Sharman Joshi), owner of Mehta Diamonds. The whimsical Mumbai rains play cupid in bringing the two together, hence the name of the show.
One of the things we loved about Baarish was its music. The series is studded with silvery songs that are melodious, affecting and eminently hummable. The production values of the show are top-notch. Every frame of Baarish looks pretty as a picture, with nary a discordant note to mar the mesmerizing beauty of the settings.
Baarish is a beautiful show, made with passion and fervour. It is like that favourite easy-chair you sink into at the end of a particularly frazzled day, which melts away your fatigue in its warm solace. It is the blissfully cool relief of the first monsoon showers after the heat of the sweltering Indian summer. Watch Baarish for its enchanting, old-worldly romance.

The story is same as any other romantic serial of balaji. A middle class girl has a brother who is in relationship with a rich girl whose elder brother is single and is getting old. The rich girl has two brothers one is the cliché villain and another is a hero. This rich girl wants to marry the guy but he wants her sister to get married first….This is the start of the story, if you want to know more then go ahead.
The show is very similar to Bade Ache Lagte Hain of sony. There the hero was arrogant, egoistic, larger than life but in his show he is sweet, down to earth. #romantic #entertaining #exciting #recomended #mustWatch

I thought that Gauravi's dad's character was like a Paresh Rawal wannabe and totally annoying. The series had a lot of cliches but it was a fun watch. I wonder how Mumbai is less crowded in this series, it's like they were in another city altogether.
The music was good.
