I really liked Vijay's acting. There was some critique that the lead acted like a jerk but he won in the end. The way I saw it, he did lose a lot - health and medical license. I thought the ending was going to be sad.

Arjun Reddy is undoubtedly a path breaking movie. Arjun Reddy will be a brand name from now on and its more powerful than Raghuvaran B.Tech. Vijay Devarakonda Sai is my choice for this year's Best Actor. I dnt think anybody else can beat this man in performance, this year. Even the heroine, Shalini, left her mark in everybody's mind. Sureshot winner of Best Debut. And our beloved ETV Abhiruchi anchor Rahul Ramakrishna did an exceptional job and he will be a strong nominee in Best Supporting Actor category. All the actors who played the roles of family and friends of Vijay did their best to support Vijay's amazing performance. BGM is the asset for the movie and Im in love with it. Runtime is more, but the beautiful screenplay wont let you feel bore till the end. Director must be appreciated for the guts. Cinematography is good but Vijay wont allow you to concentrate on any other technical aspects, except BGM. Finally, Telugu Cinema is turning younger with back to back path breaking movies.

Vijay Deverakonda who plays Arjun Reddy, gives falling in love an entirely new perspective. This movie sheds light on the prevailing issues with loving somebody from another cast. Vijay's portrayal of a surgeon with an indisputable personality gives him brownie points. Shalini Pandey, who plays the role of Arjun Reddy's timid and shy love interest has also done an exceptional job. The movie is action packed and you cannot help but pity Arjun towards the end of the movie. 79 Though Arjun's superior behaviour with his peers may not fit will with the audience, the chemistry been the two protagonists will manage to keep you entertained.

I hated the weak love story and there were times I wanted to smack the hero for his non-sense.
But there is something about this movie that grabs you and make you sit through. Something that forced me to give it a four star rating. Something that is not normally seen in Telugu movies.
Vijay Devarekonda is simply amazing as an amped up version of our dear old Devdas. And he definitely makes up for the weak plot.

Telugu cinema is improving and breaking boundaries with films like these. An Excellent background score, humor, and some superb acting by Vijay Deverakonda make this film one of the best Telugu movies of the year 2017. There was some fine direction from some very long shots taken when Our Hero confronts Amith in his college to the Subtle quick wit references from our supporting actors. There were hyped up moments to almost loveable scenes. Arjun Reddy turned out to be far better than I had expected to enter the Cinema Hall.
