This is Naseeruddin Shah's best performance ever.He is one of the best actors we have and I hope he keeps giving us these kind of performances.

Anupam Kher is good support and he now gets serious roles and not comic roles which disappointing but any ways he is good in the movie.

Jimmy Shergill is an over actor and he thinks he is an angry young man or he thinks he is a Sunny Deol,Akshay Kumar or a Sunil Shetty and he is totally wrong.

Watch this movie this is great movie and you will enjoy it.

Movie is awesome, must watch it, it's a 10 on 10 score, it's one of the epic movies that were made. Star cast is perfect, direction is also awesome. Acting of all the stars is awesome. It makes us proud to be Indian. The movie is no typical bollywood masala, only focuses on the story line. It creates and maintains the level of thrill throughout the movie. There should be more movies like this, it's a direct competition to Hollywood level movies. To summarize it in one word won't do justice to the movie but the simplest word for the same is "awesome" and for the potential viewers "must watch".

The movie is perfect in every other sense. A Wednesday is a cleverly chosen name. The film revolves around a common man who is now fed up with all the action that government is taking against the terrorism. He takes up the task in his hands to punish those who were responsible for those acts.
Acting: Naseeruddin Shah was great as always. He brought an originality to the character. He doesn't have a name in the movie. Anupam Kher always impresses us with his performance. Anupam Kher's arc in the field of acting is very large. He covers almost each kind of performance. The other actors were also good in their respective roles.
Film: The direction of Neeraj Pandey is out of the league. One cannot imagine presenting such story in a very subtle way to understand. The cinematography was little weak. I found some camera angles were not worth.
Final Verdict: The film is a package deal. It has drama, thriller, action, and suspense. If you are on the way to become an actor, this film might work for you as a class in the school.
I give it 9/10.

I sought out this movie based on the urging of my neighbor as it is one of her favorite Indian films. It's a thriller with a mysterious seemingly mild mannered man who has placed bombs around the city of Mumbai on "A Wednesday".

What was really fun for me about this film was seeing two great character actors of so many Bollywood films be able to take center stage. Anupam Kher is the Mumbai police commissioner, and he is due to retire. Naseeruddin Shah is the mysterious bomber, which is a nifty turn, as usual he plays the retiring police/intelligence officer. Jimmy Shergill plays a rogue ATS agent.

There's a big plot twist towards the end that I won't spoil about the motives of Naseeruddin's character. He gives an impassioned speech on the phone to Kher, that while good, went on too long and thus diminishes what up to then had been a dynamic tense thriller.

Certain things didn't make sense to me -- like why a lower level police officer working on the bomb threat didn't warn his wife away from taking a train. Some plot threads were left hanging as well. It may not have the same impact on me as it would to a citizen of India. It's really a statement on the effect of repeat bombings and scares on regular people.

This is the director's debut film, and I look forward to Special 26.

Its story of a stupid common man, its a story of you and me. Its a story of what we wish to do but can't do but a man takes the charge and shows his courage. It is remarkable! This tells the story of certain events that take place between 2 and 6 pm on a Wednesday in Mumbai. Events that are not on any record.

One of the most original and brilliant movie to come out of Bollywood. The movie is fast paced and doesn't give you the opportunity to blink your eyes. The story is incredible and has a few twist and turns. Naseeruddin Shah and Anupam Kher shine in their respective roles and keep you engaged and so does Neeraj Pandey's flawless direction and narration. The ending is just superb and out of the box. The movie leaves us thinking as it tackles one of the most relevant issues with some panache.

thriller genre utilized fully for this movie. it had to find a realistic thriller in India

Neeraj Pandey's debut movie A Wednesday is one of the best thriller ever made in Bollywood. The suspense, the build-up shown in the movie is amazing and the story is just mind blowing. Naseeruddin Shah nails the performance and so does Anupam Kher who performs really well as his opponent. Another standout performance was by Jimmy Shergill, who was really good in this movie.

Great Movie, Good thriller and always maintains the intensity. There is no part in the movie which gets you bored. Its full time Entertainment. The movie is short but up to the point. This is a movie where Naseerudin Shah is like a One Man Army who takes over the whole of Bombay police. I really enjoyed it. We need more movies like this. Very Creative. Technically very correct and the movie has a lot of logic. The Direction is superb. Unlike other movies, there are no songs in the movie. The movie can be viewed by family and even teens and I think its for all type of age groups. The whole movie is like the game of chess. Its a puzzle till the end which bursts out at last releasing a shock wave across the movie theatre.

A Wednesday is provocative theatre. Its message is urgent and relevant but also disturbing and dangerous.

In INDIA Every now and then bomb blasts keep happening. And in the process common man suffers. The movie has depicted the problem from a common man's perspective.And also the movie has shown the extent to which the Aam Aadmi is irritated by the lame politics, police and the system. This common man role is played by Naseeruddin Shah. With Anupam kher playing the role of Mumbai police Commissioner . Nasseeruddin plants 5 bombs in mumbai and one in a police station and calls Anupam Kher that he wants 4 terrorists to be released . Eventually the police and the govt. has to give up and they release them .As they are leaving the terrorists on Airport Arif(Jimmy Shergill) decide that they will free only 3 instead of 4. As they are taking him away the bench near the 3 terrorists explode and they die. Eventually Naseeruddin forces Arif and Jai(aamir basheer)to kill the 4th terrorist . He tells them how he felt when these terrorists bombed local train in Mumbai and how people died who did nothing wrong and that he was just a common man taking revenge. The film ends on a positive note giving a lesson to the government ,police and how should we deal with terrorism.
