The movie is made pretty well, with excellent graphics, but at the same time it fails to live up to the hype around it. It is really a dangerous peice of fantasy that strikes too difficult to believe. As we know, 300 is supposedly an account of the Battle of Thermopylae, fought on the north-east coast of Greece in 480BC between a Spartan-led force of Greeks and Persians.

It is like a culmination of west meets east movie-making and the fantasy feel of a video game. In a way , this film uses its comic book dimension to portray the vastly militarised Spartans as a democratic society.

It is visually very attrative and the actors have their best game on.

This movie gives you the motivation to stand against all the odds and never give up.
The story is all about a bunch of spartans who are descent of the Hercules and the decide to give a fight against the world's largest army. Its a story of glory, honour and dignity. And the dialogues are motivational and touching.

Visually thrilling and viscerally satisfying Zack Snyder, inspired by the graphic novel, has brought a 2487 year-old news story to life with people you really care about who are faced with choices between compromise and war that are all too familiar today.
