Foodie Tyler Ledford and his date, Margot Mills, travel by boat to Hawthorn, an exclusive restaurant on a private island owned by celebrity chef Julian Slowik. The other guests are food critic Lillian Bloom; her editor Ted; wealthy regulars Richard and Anne Leibrandt; washed-up movie star George Diaz[a] and his personal assistant Felicity Lynn; business partners Soren, Dave, and Bryce; and Slowik's alcoholic mother Linda. The group is given an island tour by the maître d' Elsa, who notes that Margot is not Tyler's designated guest.

The Menu is a delicious course of dark comedic satire that I absolutely ate all up!
This is honestly one of the best theatrical experiences I’ve had in years…
I would even say it’s now one of my favourite films of all time too!
The Menu gave me one of the most strangest viewing experiences I think I’ve ever had…
As a point of reference, I went in completely blind, not having watched the trailer and avoided any marketing for the film, and I'm glad that I did that!
Everyone should experience this film by themselves and not let anyone else influence their opinion.

Serving up delectable thrills accompanied by the perfect blend of dark humour, The Menu is indeed a feast you don’t want to miss!
Even making this review, I am still in awe at just how unpredictable this film actually is…
My jaw was honestly on the floor numerous times, and I was just amazed at the sheer creativity all the way to it’s unforgettable finale!
The Menu is a tasteful treat that manages to be gripping, satirical, jarring, and hauntingly brilliant.
As a huge foodie myself, I loved the choice that whenever a dish was served, it would be highlighted with it’s name and the ingredients.
I honestly got so giddy during those scenes like the food nerd that I am!
The film is a great social commentary on class values and class systems.
The Menu has something fresh and interesting to say about the tired conversation surrounding the marriage between art and artist.
It gives audiences an adrenaline rush that makes for an exciting and wild viewing experience!
The film is filled with twists and turns, and keeps the viewer guessing until the credits roll…

This is a film that plays on something everyone has come across in their lives: obsession…
The film starts out as a seemingly eerie thriller/suspense type film with weird and unique quirks, but slowly devolves into something much more wild, and very obviously takes it too far!
With a script tighter than the meticulously crafted Chef's menu, even your average film-goer will have their plates full with this one.
As a film-lover, this was one of the more thought provoking pieces of the year 2022!
The film makes you wonder what the line is between brilliant artist and insane psycho… The film makes you look around and find yourself in all the characters; the artist, the art, and those who are (Literally) consuming it.
This film is an insightful ‘parody’ of the state of not only the word of fine dining, but also fashion, art, filmmaking, music, etc.

Apart from it’s rich screenplay and magnificent production design, the film also benefits from having a star-studded cast.
Ralph Fiennes is absolutely brilliant as the Chef, making Gordon Ramsay look like a pussycat!
Anya Taylor-Joy is terrific and manages to bring something completely different to the table…(Literally!)
Her character is the perfect audience surrogate amongst a sea of deliberately unlikeable characters of which the best is Nicholas Hoult who’s almost too good at making his character hilariously pathetic…

Overall, The Menu is a delicious slice of social satire, with every ingredient working in harmony to create a truly outstanding film, sure to leave you feeling satisfied…
It’s compelling, wickedly smart and surprisingly funny!
All in all, this is a brilliant satire on the food industry and class warfare.
This film is chef's kiss!
