Though e all know that Vikrant Massey is a brilliant actor, but this series though #beautiful and #emotional and is a bit boring and monotonous too. Though this series was released at Sony Studios, Hollywood and was also nominated for ‘Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama’ and ‘Outstanding Cinematography in a Drama’. Yet there was something missing in this series which cannot be fufiled by Vikrant's splendid acting even. Vikrant plays a role of a software engineer working for a reputed firm and at the same time having dreams and desires of his own. He wants to become a bike rider but is unceremoniously fired by his employer. Then he gets a chance to go on a soul searching #roadTrip with a 55 year old man which actually sets him free and explains him the true meaning of life.

Shrey(Vikrant Massey) is excited about his new dream bike but life takes a U-turn for him when he is asked to leave from his job on the same day. With all the loans on his back, he starts drifting towards depression when his father reminds him of his dream, the road trip. So Shrey decides to go on a soul-searching road trip, but he is joined by the most unlikely pillion ever- his friend’s 55-year-old relative.
Massey has done a brilliant justice to the character through his acting skills. Atul Sriwastava is endearing as the nosy, annoying uncle who’s full of insights. Their growing camaraderie is the highlight of the series. The writing is beautiful, specifically the lines and dialogues. The monologues of the final episode will strike a chord and are the biggest takeaway from the show; they’ll make you stop and think. The aesthetics are just gorgeous and the lush locales of Mumbai, Kolkata, and Gangtok push you to pack your bags and head for a bike trip.
Before the lengthy conversations, come lengthier narrative voice overs which imparts philosophies on life, dreams, and all of those lovely things.
For those who are looking for a good-looking web series that doesn’t have too many characters or plot twists and is easy on the eye, then Rise could be your weekend watch or if you’re in the mood to hear some really deep lines on self-realization, love, life and everything in between.

A man with a dream of getting a sports bike, which he finally succeeded at after slogging himself for 5 years in a 9 to 5 job.The happiest day of his life brings greatest tragic to him as well because that day he loses his job.He is angry ,sad and frustrated like any person and thinks of giving up his dream bike .He changes his course of decision when he goes back to his memory lane with his dad who explains him that it doesn't matter how many times a person falls but how many times the person rises after falling makes a whole difference. He takes the road trip which he had planned when he was just a child, but its not just a solo trip of Shrey and his thoughts but an adventurous trip with a filmy,middle-aged stranger.Refreshing and context driven show makes you rise from your monotonous day.
