Mind The Malhotras an Amazon Prime Original Series released in 2019. It is a comedy series which revolves around a married couple who are struggling to find a perfect relationship with their messed up life. It is a pleasant watch but not that engaging. After hearing that another couple in their friend circle has filed for divorce, Rishabh and Shefali decide to visit a counselor in order to bring the old charm in their relationship. They have a twin teenaged daughters and an eight-year-old son. Their session are really fun to watch as they narrate their frustrating yet hilarious situation they face in everyday life. All the actors played their part perfectly. It is a 16+ series and the episodes are streaming on the Amazon Prime Video app.

What a treat to watch! Mini Mathur and Cyrus Sahukar are good actors that keep the otherwise commonplace script and dialogues from falling apart. The performances are the juggernaut of this show, the 'forty-ish' parents scared of their relationship falling apart, coming to terms with their kids who are growing up fast, making their own relationships, making things awkward at the modern yet typically Indian home. The struggles of their kids seems relatable but the kids themselves managed to get very little screen time. However, it is light hearted and cool, a getaway from the otherwise intense drama series hitting our screens.

'Mind The Malhotras', Applause’s latest, is a zany, rollickingly funny take on the travails of an about- to-hit-forty couple that is going through a mid-life crisis. Adapted from the Israeli series, ‘La Familigia’, the 9-episode series has been written by Sahil Sangha and Karan Sharma, while it has been directed by Sangha and Ajay Bhuyan and the series streams on Amazon Prime.
Shefali and Rishabh Malhotra (Mini Mathur and Cyrus Sahukar, respectively) are a relatively rich Bandra couple, bickering, bantering and winging their way through life. The parents of two teenaged girls and a precocious little son are more or less happy with their stock in life, but exasperated with the increasingly crumbling marriages around them. Four out of five couples among their friends have opted for divorce and they fear they could be next. They decide to go in for marriage counselling. Whether they actually need it or not is beside the point. In the crazy, comic world they inhabit, it’s better to be safe than sorry. Light-hearted, breezy and gently refreshing, the series gets one into a great mood even when one is screaming blue murder.
Shefali could so easily have turned into a character that is screechy and shrewish, but Mini Mathur’s understated and measured performance lends subtleness and style to her role. It is a commendable web and acting debut from Mathur, who’s been a consummate VJ and host until now.
Cyrus Sahukar, of course, is outstanding. His acting, sloshed with hidden nuances and chutzpah, and his screen presence, amazing and attention-grabbing, help getting us invested into his harried, henpecked husband act.
I admit that the first few episodes veered toward monotony, but the series gathers steam in the next several episodes, and becomes decidedly funnier and crazier as it moves forward. Watch it asap.

Underwhelming
Mind the Malhotras is an Indian web series from Amazon Prime which borrows it's format from the Israeli comedy La Famiglia. The season follows the lives of the Malhotras, their relationship with each other. The show feels a letdown if you have watched Sarabhai vs Sarabhai and other acclaimed comedy shows. The big three, Cyrus Sahukar, Mini Mathur and Denzil Smith play their parts to perfection and carry the series on their shoulders. The rest of the actors are unable to make an impact. It is a feelgood journey which is best experienced with your family. The writing is underwhelming. The show feels fresh yet stale. In fact, that sums up the entire show in a sentence.

A faithful adaptation of the Israeli series, Cyrus Sahukar's and Minny Mathur's Mind The Malhotras is yet another super relatable sitcom that deals with modern days relationships as well as family issue with ample conviction.
Hell breaks loose when the Malhotras' friends file for divorce thus setting enough tension between the Malhotras.
With convincing performance from every cast members, Mind the Malhotras form an easy laugh inducing element but fails at time after the dialogues get a bit too repetitive and boring.
But all in all, the show is an extremely light-hearted comedy solely aimed at making us laugh.

Mind about Malhotra's - Hindi version of The Middle!!!!

Yes! This is what I felt when I saw the Mind About the Malhotra's.

It is all about the family comedy and weird family chemistry between couples and children!
Somewhat we feel we are watching a Hindi version of Modern Family and The Middle!!
Frankly speaking, the casting could have been much better and screenwriting about the comedy could have been improvised!
But it is the best show to watch in your boring weekends sitting on your couch with pizza!
