Mind The Malhotras (2019)

This could have been a potential family entertainer but ended up an average show. The characters are lovable though. The Malhotras needed to up their game if they wanted to be on our binge-watch list. As of now, they are somewere there with dal-chawal minus the advantage of aam ka achaar.

A show about marriage, family, and therapy to tie the two together, Mind The Malhotras is a welcome revision in typical family dynamics. Worried about their relationship after all of their friends have had divorces, the Malhotras Rishabh (Cyrus Sahukar) and Shefali (Mini Mathur) decide to attend couple's therapy.

Wacky and comical interactions with the therapist, the recollection of unconventional instances in their married life, and a constant concern for their quirky son make up for most of the comedy in the show. Although the daughters have a scarce presence and a bit bland one too, the character of mother-in-law is a great addition.

The situations may seem a bit cliche and worn out at times, the actors, however, manage to pull off most scenes convincingly despite the choppy writing. The show could definitely use some solid punch lines and more frivolous situations to make it memorable.

It's a light-hearted entertainer, will not completely knock your shoes off, but will not disappoint either.

Mind the Malhotras is sadly a poor attempt at a comedy show. the show follows the life of a middle aged couple, trying to reignite the spark that has vanished from their marriage, twins teenaged daughters and a son who is 8 years old. I started watchind the show for Cyrus Sahuka but even he could not put the fire in the show. the show presents challenges of their everyday life in a non-humorous way and this stops the viewers to have it on their binge-watch list. The tadka of humour is massively missing from the show but still has a few tickling moments about it.

This series represents the #trueStory of #dysfunctionalFamily of this generation where mother is too very scared about her children while the father is super chilled out. This series is actually a remake of an Israeli series La Famiglia, so not much of it is original yet its #entertaining and #LOLFunny . Cyrus Sahukar and Mini Mathur have played the roles of Rishabh and Shefali Malhotra who are a mobile couple, parents to 3 children and posses a perfectly decorated house.
