Go! (2020)

Go kart is a family or pre - teen friendly movie and tries hard to come off as a thriller but doens't really make it.



The main charecter in the story is Jack Hooper a 15 year boy who moves from Sydney to a new town in the west along with his mom after his father's death. The whole story revolves around Jack's sudden keen interest for go kart racing and his eager passion to win the national championship and his oppositions girl. He also seeks the help of a former disconsolate racer Patrick to help him through his journey.



This movie seems to be a mix of every other cliche movie to be ever made, except it's an Australian movie. Definitely seems like a Rip off of the Karate kid minus the Karate and the addition of go karting. The storyline was weak and predictable and no sense of humour seemed to exist. Other than the fact that Jack was driven by passion and his family and friends helped him through it all, nothing else stood out to me and I felt completely emotionally disconnected.It's a family oriented movie if you're just looking for something light hearted.
