Thithi Review

Thithi, directed by Raam Reddy, is a Kannada drama-comedy movie. This movie shows how the 3 different generations of one family react to the death of the oldest man of their family. The 3 main characters of the movie Abhi ,Thammanna and Gaddappa shows different stages of life , youth,mid age and old age respectively. Abhi, being the youngest , is shown as an irresponsible person who is crazy after a girl. Thammanna, who has the responsibility of his house and family, is shown as a person who is greedy and invovles in some illegal actions. Gaddappa, being the oldest now, is shown as a carefree person who shows some symptoms of Alzheimer. Using a subtle variety of dark humor, this movie confounds you with questions of death, rituals, ceremony, sacrifice, superstition etc. One of the astounding fact about this movie is that most of the actors are not professional. Yet, they managed to grab many national and a few international awards.
