Hard Knocks : Season 6

In the opener of the sixth season, Jets players and coaches arrive in Cortland, N.Y., and settle in to their new quarters before beginning two-a-day drills. Included: head coach Rex Ryan sets an ambitious goal for the season; Darrelle Revis is a no-show; the first cuts are made; Marty Schottenheimer and Joe Namath visit camp.

The defense struggles in the second half of the Jets' preseason opener against the Giants at New Meadowlands Stadium; WR Santonio Holmes gives advice to struggling rookie RB Joe McKnight; the fullback battle continues; Vernon Gholston impresses the coaching staff; Darrelle Revis's holdout continues.

The team breaks camp in Cortland, N.Y., and heads to Charlotte to meet the Carolina Panthers in their second preseason game; Nick Mangold signs a contract extension but Darrelle Revis's holdout continues; one player suffers a severe injury in the Panthers game.

The team visits Long Island for a scrimmage at Hofstra University and faces the Redskins in its third preseason game. Also: a key player gets hurt; a respected veteran is cut as the roster is pared to 75 players; the battle at left guard heats up; the offense continues to struggle.

Players get a last chance to impress the coaches in the preseason finale against the Eagles; some tough cuts are made as the roster is pared to 53 players; negotiations heat up with holdout Darrelle Revis; Mark Sanchez calls plays against the Eagles and directs a TD drive.
