The new Batman v Superman trailer premiered on 'Jimmy Kimmel Live!' on the December 2 episode, hot on the heels of Marvel's 'Captain America: Civil War’ teaser launch. Warner Bros hoped to get one up on Marvel with such a move and the trailer has received significant buzz in addition to increasing the hype surrounding the movie. ‘Man of Steel’ was a highly anticipated reboot which polarized critics upon its release, with a majority of the criticism going towards the attempt at making Superman, who is generally depicted as a beacon of hope, dark and gritty like The Batman from Christopher Nolan’s trilogy. However, I personally loved the movie, with the Superman-Zod fight being my all-time favorite superhero action sequence. The fanboy in me was filled with delight at the release of the trailer, but after multiple viewings, the skeptic in me started rearing its slightly ugly head.
