With Great Family Comes Great Responsibility! Bollywood Celebs You Might Not Know About

By Arka Maity | 634 |

If there was ever a business that thrived on nepotism, it would be Bollywood. When we talk about Bollywood star kids, the first thing that comes to our mind, is envy. We believe they're extremely lucky to be born with a silver spoon in such a family. But what we fail to understand, is that the scenario is completely different right now. Having born in a filmy background doesn't ensure a successful career. While many of them have touched the stars, found stardom overnight, and continue to rule the Industry, there are those who could not even see the daylight of their career. Despite several attempts, they could not resurrect their diminished career. Here are those people whom we're talking about.

Tanisha Mukherjee

Having the legend Tanuja Mukherjee as your mother, and superstar Kajol as your sister, would be a dream for every girl in this country. With such a rich film background, one's place in Bollywood can be guaranteed, right? Not always. Tanisha's failure in Bollywood came as a shocker. None believed the daughter of such a brilliant actress would fail miserably. With movies such as Sssshhh, Neal 'n' Nikki , Popcorn Khao! Mast Ho Jao, One Two Three, she was heavily criticized by the audience. Tanisha even tried her luck in the reality show Bigg Boss where she was the runner-up. Her stint in the show didn't quite help her cause.

Suneil Anand

We don't blame you for not knowing who he is. As his surname suggests, yes he is the son of the great Dev Anand. Having appeared in exactly 4 films, Suneil was forgotten as quickly as one can forget. While his father commanded the attention of the nation for decades, he couldn't even achieve 1% of it. His first on-screen appearance was in Anand Aur Anand and following stints in Car Theif, Main Tere Liye and Master, Suneil left his Bollywood dreams behind entirely.

Adhyayan Suman

Famous Bollywood and Television actor Shekhar Suman's son, Adhyayan made his debut in 2008 with Haal-E-Dil. Even though he was nominated for the Best Debutant Award for his debut film, his career cannot be compared to that of his father, Shekhar Suman. He went on to appear in a handful of other films like Raaz - The Mystery Continues..., Himmatwala, Heartless and Ishq Click, none of which succeeded in solidifying his hold on the Indian audience. Known for his good looks and his ex-girlfriend Kangana Ranaut, his work in the industry was completely out of focus.

Mahakshay (Mimoh) Chakraborty

Son of the famous yesteryear disco dancer, Mithun Chakraborty, Mimoh made his debut in 2008 with Jimmy. His debut film was a disaster at the box office, and his performance was criticized tremendously. Post his failure, he decided to change his name to Mahakshay. He lost weight, and got rid of his blonde hair streaks for his next film Haunted . He did 4 films after his debut but none of them worked well. Inspite of trying hard, he remained unsuccessful.

Uday Chopra

The successful, but unsuccessful. Uday, being the most popular actor in this list has been a part of many super-hit movies. But never did he actually prove a point with his acting. When he first debuted in the film मोहब्बतें, he did manage to grab a few eyeballs. But then on, Uday, the son of veteran Bollywood director Yash Chopra, failed to create an impact on the audience. After a few unimpressive performances, it was obvious that the audience didn't quite take to Yash Chopra's son as well as his famed family had probably hoped. Some of his films are Neal 'n' Nikki , Mere Yaar Ki Shaadi Hai , Pyaar Impossible and the Dhoom series. With back to back flops early in his career, his career graph was a contradiction to his dad’s career.
