While 2015 was a very good year for Bollywood, don't underestimate Bollywood and think that it is the best Bollywood can do. 2016 will bring a plethora of movies which may be path breaking. Here is a look at some of the most awaited Bollywood movies of 2016:-

1.Wazir

Wazir is an upcoming 2016 Indian action thriller film directed by Bejoy Nambiar. The film is written by Abhijat Joshi and Vidhu Vinod Chopra, and is jointly produced by Chopra and Rajkumar Hirani. It stars Amitabh Bachchan & Farhan Akhtar in lead roles along with Aditi Rao Hydari, John Abraham, Neil Nitin Mukesh and Manav Kaul in supporting roles. The movie looks an engaging one with some superb acting and a fast and complex storyline.

2.Airlift

Airlift is an upcoming Indian film directed by Raja Krishna Menon, and starring Akshay Kumar and Nimrat Kaur in lead roles. The film is scheduled for release on 22 January 2016. The film is based on biggest evacuation of Indians based in Kuwait during the Iraq-Kuwait war. With a patriotic theme and Akshay Kumar's action, this is surely an engaging affair.

3.Fitoor

is an upcoming Indian romantic drama film directed by Abhishek Kapoor and produced by Siddharth Roy Kapur based on Charles Dickens' novel Great Expectations. It stars Aditya Roy Kapur, Katrina Kaif and Tabu in leading roles. With actors like Tabu, beautiful locations of Kashmir and Abhishek Kapoor's direction, this will surely be a good watch.

4.Jai Gangaajal

This Prakash Jha directorial features Priyanka Chopra as a tough cop fighting corruption. With some kick ass, hard hitting dialogues and a fast story line, this is one we cannot miss.

5.Ki And Ka

It is an upcoming Indian romantic comedy-drama film written, directed, and produced by R. Balki. The film follows a young, married couple whose relationship challenges the gender roles placed upon women and men in Indian society. It stars Kareena Kapoor Khan and Arjun Kapoor. With a new pairing and R. Balki's innovative direction, this will surely be path breaking.

6.Jagga Jasoos

It is an upcoming Indian comedy-drama film directed by Anurag Basu, and produced by Basu and Ranbir Kapoor. The film features Ranbir Kapoor, Katrina Kaif and Govinda in lead roles, and tells the story of a teenage detective in search of his missing father. With the pairing of real life couple Ranbir-Katrina and Anurag Basu's direction this is worth waiting for..

7.Udta Punjab

Udta Punjab is an upcoming Indian drama thriller film directed by Abhishek Chaubey and produced by Phantom Films and Balaji Motion Pictures. It tells the story of substance abuse in the Indian state of Punjab and stars Kareena Kapoor Khan, Alia Bhatt, Shahid Kapoor and Diljit Dosanjh in lead roles. With a star studded cast and a good topic, this has all the ingredients to be a hit.

8.Raees

It is an upcoming 2016 Indian crime-thriller film directed by Rahul Dholakia and produced by Farhan Akhtar, Ritesh Sidhwani , under the banners of Excel Entertainment.Raees is set in 1980s Gujarat, it shows the story of a cruel and clever bootlegger (Shah Rukh Khan) whose business is highly challenged and eventually thwarted by a tough cop Ghulam Patel (Nawazuddin Siddiqui). The film criticizes the prohibition of alcohol, prostitution and illegal drugs in Gujarat. With some really nice dialogues and a star cast consisting of Shahrukh Khan and Nawazuddin Siddique it is surely one of the most awaited movie of 2016.

9.Sultan

Sultan is an upcoming Indian sports drama film directed by Ali Abbas Zafar and produced by Aditya Chopra. The film stars Salman Khan in the title role with Randeep Hooda and Amit Sadh in supporting roles. It also features Tyron Woodley of UFC fame. The movie is a much expected one as Salman Khan will be seen portraying a wrestler and is working hard for it.

10.Mohenjo Daro

Mohenjo Daro is an upcoming epic adventure-romance film directed by Ashutosh Gowariker and produced by Ashutosh Gowariker Productions and Disney India. The film features Hrithik Roshan and Pooja Hegde in the lead roles and marks Gowariker's second collaboration with Roshan and Disney India. The film is set in the ancient city of Mohenjo-daro, Sindh Pakistan in the era of the Indus Valley civilisation that dates back to 2600 BC. The film score is composed by A. R. Rahman. With Hrithik Roshan and Ashutosh Gowariker combining again and music by A.R. Rehman, it is surely something to look forward to.

11.M.S Dhoni: The Untold Story

Dhoni: The Untold Story is an upcoming Bollywood biographical film directed by Neeraj Pande. The film tells the story of cricketer Mahendra Singh Dhoni, played by Sushant Singh Rajput, and Kiara Advani as Sakshi Singh Dhoni, The film will also star the likes of John Abraham, Ram Charan, Shreyas Talpade, Fawad Khan, etc. If a movie on one of the most iconic cricketers of our times is not a good enough reason to watch it, it is directed by on of the best directors Neeraj Pandey and feattures Sushant Singh Rajput as MSD.

12.Rangoon

Rangoon is an upcoming Hindi period romance drama film, directed by Vishal Bhardwaj and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala. Rangoon is a Casablanca -like love triangle set against the backdrop of the Second World War. We have seen what Shahid Kapoor and Vishal Bharadwaj create when they come together(Haider ) and moreover it features Kangana Ranaut who has done extensive research for her role and Saif Ali Khan also. Surely this will be something to watch.

13.Ae Dil Hai Mushkil

Ae Dil Hai Mushkil is an upcoming Indian romance film directed and written by Karan Johar. The film will star Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Ranbir Kapoor and Anushka Sharma in the lead roles. Though much may not be known about the story but a movie featuring such a star cast and directed by Karan Johar will be a phenomenon surely.

14.Dangal

is an upcoming Indian biographical sports drama film directed by Nitesh Tiwari. The film is produced by Disney Studio India. The film stars Aamir Khan portraying the role of Mahavir Singh Phogat, who taught wrestling to his daughters Babita Kumari and Geeta Phogat. Geeta Phogat was India's first female wrestler to win at the 2010 Commonwealth Games, where she won the gold medal (55 kg) while her sister Babita Kumari won the silver (51 kg). With Aamir Khan and his perfection and a good story, this will surely be path breaking.
