So what is evident from the 23 movies listed above? Most of them were rejected by the audience, but why? The major reason behind this is the plotline/storyline of the movie which is often neglected. Producers & Directors invest humongous amounts to give their movies world class VFX. Usually, internationally acclaimed VFX artists are hired, but no time is spent on the script. As a result, a visually impressive movie is released with a plotline as thin as a thread. Now one has to agree that there are also blockbusters such as Mr India, PK and Krrish 3 which are universally appreciated, but if you see as a whole, then sci-fi genre is nothing but a risk for Bollywood. Apart from all these factors we should also keep on mind that majority of the movie-goers are from small towns. Hence, these flicks are certainly the ones with which they won't get a desi approach and relate themselves. Krrish & Mr India are great examples of sci-fi with a desi feel. All done and dusted, it is clearly evident that great VFX is not the only element for a HIT film, instead Bollywood writers should spend more time to improve the plot, imagine more and write a believable story which is both visually and logically a treat to watch.
