Ayush Mehra: The Internet's Boyfriend, Literally!

As Noah Centineo is to Netflix, India's Ayush Mehra too is giving us major boyfriend goals through his performances across various YouTube sketches and web series. Let's take look at the different characters in his several web series- both boyfriend and non-boyfriend- the OTT star has played till yet.

The Ex Turned Best Friend | Minus One

Being one of the most novel ideas of recent times, Minus One didn't just grab eyes because Ayush Mehra and Aisha Ahmed came together for their first-ever fiction web series after teasing us with their chemistry on FilterCopy, but also because the concept itself was enough for any viewer. Riya and Varun in the process of moving on from each other also move in together to live as housemates. Ayush Mehra's Varun was pretty on-point, though there weren't any remarkable scenes that made him shine. However, his comic timings were absolutely perfect and one would expect to immediately fall for him with his quirky demeanour. The chemistry between the two actors, was of course, superb.

The Pressured Star Kid | Operation MBBS

Well, this is kind of a spoiler, but yeah. A medical student and the son of an esteemed doctor, Ayush's Nishant is a privileged kid who doesn't want to be seen as privileged also wanting to stay in a family and judgemental free zone. Initially rejected for the role, Ayush again went back in the audition room and this time, won the character and also developed an accent for it. The writers give a fresh perspective and break stereotypes by showing Nishant as a kid afraid of disappointing the society by not living up to his father's reputation, but you also see his chilled out dad. Operation MBBS had its flaws, but the performances by the lead actors, especially Ayush Mehra's, were the saving graces of the Dice series.

The Housemate Turned BF | Please Find Attached

His most recent venture, Please Find Attached quickly won the hearts of the audience being a cheesy, lovey-dovey web series meant to lift your spirits with the charm Ayush Mehra and Barkha Singh created onscreen. Ayush plays Shaurya, a millennial struggling to prove his worth to everyone around him- from his home to his office, somewhat a much more nervous and introverted character than Ayush's other works. He definitely plays it with ease, bringing out the comic, romantic or high strung tones of the character with every bit of being relatable as well.

The Millenial Son | Mom & Co.

This is probably the only time I see him in glasses- and he rocks it! Playing a son named Aditya to an extremely talented cook Suhasini, the web series explores the bridging gap between the mother son duo. With an overbearing girlfriend, a mother with bi aspirations and his own up & downs in his career, Aditya is a downright frustrated person and he definitely gives justice. Ayush's Aditya brings out hate from the audience when he mistreats his mom but also pity when showcasing vexation with his career, making it a more than satisfactory performance.

Which one of these web series have you already watched? Which one is your favourite? Personally, I love Minus One- but Please Find Attached gives it a good competition. What about you?
