5 Ads in Indian Theaters that should be banned

Yes, it’s a sad story & yes smoking is bad for you. But the ad that stars Mukesh is so dated and poorly shot that whenever it comes on screen, people either laugh, get irritated or stop paying attention. The right opposite purpose to what a public service announcement is supposed to be. Hire a good ad agency, Government!

The Katrina Kaif ad for that chocolate that nobody really eats. God knows what the ad is about. Katrina Kaif dresses up as various characters from fairy tales who all seem to love chocolates but are too poor to afford Cadbury’s. She just stares at various versions of herself eating the chocolate seductively in slow motion. Ok, it worked for Slice, but this not so much.

This is one of the weirdest ads ever. 3 guys apparently seems to have a shaving competition and then the guy who used Vicco shaving cream gets a compliment from a random girl in a bad wig who just happens to walk into their apartment and he almost barges into. At least the Vicco Vajradanti ad had a catchy jingle to it.

These ads which supposedly show Bank of Baroda’s modern facilities showcase cheap animation, stereotypes of Indians from various states and features from Bank of Baroda that were last state of the art 5 years ago.

This is just an example of lazy advertising. With random foreign extras and models. Just showing a couple of models in sherwanis might be a better ad than this.
