This Netflix thriller is based on the lives of a respected family, The Rayburns, who are known for their hard work and bond. But we soon discover that they are not what they seem to be and there are some very dark secrets within the family.
The first season of the show is a top-notch thriller. The cast includes some of the best actors of today like Kyle Chandler, Ben Mendelson, Linda Cardellini, Sam Shepard etc. Many critics even named it the best original show from Netflix. While the second season wasn't as good as expected, it was still a great thrill ride with Chandler and Mendelson still bringing their A-game to the show. The two alongwith the show have also been nominated for various awards for both the seasons.

14. Black Mirror

This British anthology show first started in Channel 4 but Netflix soon gained rights to this amazingly written and unique show. Every season has three episodes and all three has some of the wierdest storylines with very intriguing characters. None of the storylines are even remotely connected and even there is a different cast for every other episode.
This show cannot be described by a single word. They are shocking, violent, sometimes with some very dark humor and very twisted. It might be unsettling for some viewers but it does a great job of tackling various issues of our lives in different ways, although they take place in an unsettling and over-the-top atmosphere. Throughout the series, many amazing actors like Toby Kebbell, Rory Kinnear, Haley Atwell and Jon Hamm have appeared in the various episodes.

Wet Hot American Summer: First Day of Camp is a satirical comedy serving as a prequel to the 2001 movie Wet Hot American Summer . The show is based on the lives of the counselors and campers at Maine's Camp Firewood in 1981. The show parodies various tropes featured in sex comedies released during that era.
If you are a fan of the movie, then you are going to love this show. The show features a ton of great actors like Amy Poehler, Bradley Cooper, Paul Rudd, Elizabeth Banks, Christopher Meloni and many more from the original cast of the movie. The characters are mostly spoofs of various characters featured in sex comedies of the 80's which aimed at the teens and everyone of them are great. The next season is set to take place 10 years after the events of the movie.

12. Love

Created by comedy mastermind Judd Apatow, the show is a down-to-earth take on dating and explores the romantic relationships of a male and woman from the perspectives of it's leads, Gus and Mickey, played by Paul Rust and Gillian Jacobs.
With just one season, the show has managed to create a buzz with it's very honest take on relationships. The two leads are perfect in their roles and in Apatow fashion, the show takes a brutally honest opinion in romance and how we expect our romantic lives to be and what it actually is, unlike in movies. This show has not fallen in many people's radars but it is a must watch.

11. Grace and Frankie

The very underrated comedy of Netflix is based on the lives of two women Grace and Frankie, portrayed by Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin, who used to be rivals but soon are forced to stay with each other and become friends when their husbands fall for each other.
Marta Kaufman, the creator of Friends brings in her best work since then with this gem. The show doesn't receive much love as it deserves. This is a comedy classic with some of the greatest Emmy Award winning acting legends like Fonda, Tomlin, Martin Sheen and Sam Waterston. The performances, especially by Tomlin, are just great. 9. Marvel's Jessica Jones

Another Marvel and Netflix team up based on the comic book character of Jessica Jones. Although Daredevil did have a dark tone, this was Marvel's first show that dealt with very dark themes like PTSD and rape assault. And this is definitely not for kids. The show focuses on Jessica Jones (Krysten Ritter), a mysterious detective in New York with a dark past and her struggle to cope up with her PTSD and what happens when her past comes back to haunt her again.
Krysten Ritter shines as Jessica Jones and her portrayal of the character brings both the hard edge and vulnerability that the character demands. The show is set up in the same universe as the MCU and we hear numerous references to the various movies.
Thanks to this show, Daredevil has managed to become a beloved character once again. This is arguably the best live adaptation of a comic book in TV. The fight choreography in the show is perfect giving us some of the best fight scenes that have ever taken place in a TV. Also throughout it's two seasons they had a bunch of amazing characters, especially Vincent D'Onoforio's Kingpin and Jon Bernthal's Punisher in seasons 1 and 2 respectively. Infact, Bernthal's Punisher was so well received that they have even announced a solo Punisher TV Show with Bernthal in the lead.

The show features a well-to-do dysfunctional family which loses all their money and soon the most hardworking son, Goerge (Jason Bateman) decides to take them all. What follows is a lot of drama and some laugh out loud moments.
Arrested Development is undoubtedly one of the funniest show to be ever made in TV. This show launched the careers of many successful actors of now, including Michael Cera, Alia Shawkat, Will Arnett and Tony Hale. Also it was this show that revived the career of Jason Bateman, who also went on to win a Golden Globe for his role. Although the show had the bad luck of very low ratings, this show has some really hilarious characters and there is not a single episode which won't make you laugh.

Netflix's latest show can be called as a supernatural science fiction horror thriller. It is set in Indiana in the 1980s. It focuses on the disappearance of a young boy and the mysterious appearance of a young girl and how she helps his friends to find him.
Even the horror megamind Stephen King has said himself that this is a mustwatch. The show pays homage to both King and Spielberg films and 1980s TV. The show is exciting and scary whenever needed. From the first episode itself, you get hooked on to the show and it's eerily creepy premise.

Wagner Moura shines in this extraordinary tale as Pablo and it definitely is one of the most well-written, fast paced series. Although the viewpoint of the DEA agent might get boring quite some time but the stellar cast and the gritty stand-offs make you forget all its shortcomings. It's definitely a must-watch if you are a fan of crime drama thrillers.

1. House of Cards

And on the top is the obvious. The US adaptation of the British show has already started a cult following. The show focuses on the character of Frank Underwood, portrayed by the amazing Kevin Spacey, a democrat who is willing to do anything to get himself to power along with his wife Claire, portrayed by Robin Wright.
This might be a television gem and it won't be wrong to put it along with the ranks of Breaking Bad or The Sopranos . The show's strength comes from it's theme of greed of pure power, ambition and destruction with an amazing lead of Spacey and Wright alongwith strong supporting cast of Michael Kelly, Mahershala Ali, Kate Mara and Reg. E Carthy who have garnered numerous Emmy and Golden Globe nominations.

Bonus: Beasts of No Nation

Last but not the least, we have a movie in our list. The movie directed by Cary Joji Fukunaga who previously directed the first season of True Detective. It is about a young boy, Agu (Abraham Attah) who joins a group of guerrilla soldiers and comes under the wing of their fierce warlord known as the Commandant (Idris Elba). He soon becomes an active member taking part in the violence and killings of the soldiers.
Without a doubt, this is Idris Elba's best performance till date and the man deserved an Oscar nomination. Set in war torn Africa, the movie has a violent premise and it was somewhat essential to focus on the horrors or war and how dangerous it's outcomes are. Abraham Attah has become a sensation with his portrayal of Agu. Netflix is not particularly known for their movies, but this is definitely one of their best work and a great gift to cinema.
