Frances ignores some signs that something could be wrong with her pregnancy. Feeling bad about having slept with Jason, Bec can't bring herself to confess to her friends. Jenny decides to take a chance with Gabe.

Frances is under pressure to tell Zach about the baby and in an effort to prove its not because she still loves him, Frances accepts the offer of a date from a new client. Bec makes a return to Melbourne and Jenny discovers Gabe was a bully in highschool. Still avoiding her feelings for Luke, Sophie finds herself spending time with Jack and Sam fears Corys been looking at porn and struggles to handle the situation.

In an effort to do things differently in the relationship stakes, Sophie plans the perfect date with Jack. Sam is finding it hard to juggle work, family and Cory. Jenny meets Gabe’s family and discovers just how important being Jewish is to him.

The Gross family is thrown into shock with Deidres news. Sam goes against her instincts and has a one-night stand. Jack invites Sophie to Vietnam but her feelings for Luke may hinder her decision. Frances is mortified to learn Pete has a new obsession - magic tricks.

Bridget and Jenny anxiously await the results of their genetic testing. Sams one-night stand turns into an unexpected workplace sexual harassment. Frances learns the sex of the baby. With Jack away in Vietnam, Sophie goes out of her way to avoid spending time alone with Luke. Carlas sister Izzy arrives for a surprise visit.

Determined to make Corys first birthday without his mum one to remember, Sam enlists Dougs help. An impatient Carla attempts to find the babys heartbeat and panics when she cant. Jennys is stressed as she prepares for her double mastectomy. Frances continues to laugh in the face of traditional motherhood.

The girls throw Jenny a fun party to farewell her breasts the night before her surgery. Sam has her doubts about whether Hayley deserves to have Cory back, and digs into her history. Sophie is looking forward to Jacks return, but suddenly learns that Jack had feelings for her. Carlas grief sends her into a dangerous spiral of emotions.

A month after Jennys double mastectomy, theres obvious distance between her and Gabe. Surprisingly bereft without Cory, Sam debates returning to the share house but notices how lonely Mr Gross is. Jack tells Sophie that he loves her and Frances surprises everyone by deciding to host a day spa babymoon.

Jenny finds Gabe half-naked on her doorstep. While interviewing for her maternity cover, Frances goes into labour. Izzy feels for Doug and Carla as they investigate adoption without much luck. Newly single, Sophie resists the urge to hook up with Luke, Sam learns Hayley has gone AWOL with Cory and becomes a hostage when she finds them.

Sam is forced to perform a crichothyrotomy on Luke, with an unsterilised straw, after he stops breathing. Jenny and Gabe decide to move into the share house together, however Jenny begins to have second thoughts. Izzy's offer shocks both Carla and Doug but after some thought, they accept.
