A worthy watch suspense drama.
It is a tough task for a person to sustain the legacy which has been remained constantly by his grandfather. Abhay Chopra, the grandson of B.R. Chopra, is giving his debut as a director, in the family production house, BR Films, with remaking the classic of 1969, Ittefaq, directed by Yash Chopra.

Having said that, I was damn sure after seeing the trailer of this one that this is going to be different from the original. And I was right. I mean, there is no point in remaking the suspense film without changing the murderer. Though, Abhay has changed the plot as well. The camerawork is the additional and I would say the best thing in this remake. The entire Akshaye Khanna character has been added in this one. So do the humorous way of speaking.

Without that humor, this film could have been become boring. But with well executed punches, first half is as crispy as it has to be when the story unfolds, and humorous approach by policemen. Second half becomes dull. But the film ends in a very fast track. So, you got an idea that the end is not what you thought. Hence, there the film wins.

I would not say about the murderer, but that character has acted superbly in the end. Akshay is the heart of this Ittefaq. Sidhharth is also suitable perfectly. Sonakshi Sinha delivers a good job, but, the more depth was needed to her character.

No song movie is always boring at some point. But unfortunately, this kind of films don't need songs.

If you are a suspense movie lover, you have to definitely give it a chance. It is a worthy watch. It will recover its making amount for sure.

Ittefaq 2017 is a remake of Ittefaq 1969. Which was based on a Gujarati play Dhoomas. Which was based on an English play Signpost to Murder. Which also was adopted for a Hollywood movie of the same name. I would suggest that new plots and ideas have to come more and more, not recreated versions. All have to think about this.

This one is a G-S-T Ghost story!
Writing a review on a Diwali release is, I think, not recommendable. Because in India, this is the only festival, where people meet and greet with their relatives for at least 3 days. These days are having the highest number of viewers watching cinema in a theater. Therefore, I'm sure you will going to watch this one, as it is known that Golmaal is a fun entertainer which can be seen together with an entire family.

So, Rohit Shetty and team are back after exactly 10 years (Golmaal 3 in 2007 Diwali) with 4th installment of the biggest comedy-movie franchise. This time, after doing a lot in comic genre, they are introducing ghosts and spirits in Golmaal Again. The story of an orphanage owner and his children. Entire story has been developed around that orphanage. And let me tell you one more thing, it is a revenge story!

I'm not talking about anyone's performance, as we all know that they can act good. I was amazed to see Prakash Raj doing dancing in the second half. And in that scene, you can not miss Johny Lever's talent, too. Oh man, he is the best comedian. The Bhulaa act is very known, but you will laugh out loud in the mike act. It was the best hilarious moment for me. Though, I was laughing very loudly in the film around 15 times. So, believe me, this is the comedy, a laugh-out-loud one.

But, as a matter of fact, I don't consider it a comedy film. As the base is completely different from other Golmaals. Despite having spiritual connections, these characters are more realistic. Also, this is the finest work of visuals by Rohit and team. Each frame of spirits or magics has been executed superbly. In addition to that, there is beautiful Ooty. You would not, even once, look anywhere apart from screen. So, I would say this is the best Rohit Shetty & Team work.

I was not expecting great. But unfortunately or say fortunately, my ticket money has been recovered during the title song itself. Rohit Shetty's comedy films are my The Most Priority to go to city's best theater for the sake of watching the title song. I was tapping my foot continuously, even my teeth were dancing, too! So much of colours and beats and dancers and cars, and what not! This song describes how big this franchise is!

Rohit's films do not have classic songs, so do this. In the beginning itself I got the suspense, but it was not for the climax, just the bomb at interval. Hehe! That was a mistake I think, as it was clearly predictable. Other than that, in the second half, I feel that humor level was lower because the story is unfolding. That is why it looks slower. Though, comedy is at its peek in the first half. And everyone was laughing, clapping and enjoying around me.

For me, this Diwali clash winner is undoubtedly Golmaal Again. I will go with my family again. For rating, I would like to give the installment number, 4. This horror-comedy genre in a well known franchise by Rohit and team have been attempt successfully. Kudos to all. Enjoy festivals with this year's biggest bollywood commercial film.

At last, whether you call it a comedy (C-O-M-A, Comedy) or a ghost story (G-S-T, Ghost), I would like to term it as a Blockbuster (B-L-A-C-K-B-U-C-K, Blockbuster) entertainer!

Zaira's Dream, Aamir's Comedy!
An ordinary, small budget movie, but associated with the biggest name in the industry- Aamir Khan. That is why a holiday release is must. And Diwali is the only festival of India, when people go to theaters with entire family. So, a film based on relationships between a girl and her dream, a girl and her mother & a girl and a boy in school, is a perfect choice for the family entertainer.

Insia is a muslim girl, living in Vadodara. She has supportive mother, adorable brother, strict as well as orthodox father, caring friend and talent in the name of Voice. She starts her You Tube channel and because of that she gets lot's of fans. Shakti Kumar is a music director, and he approaches her for his album. It is then father vs dream, and it's not that simple, too. Lot's of emotions are there in the story, which make it a worthy watch.

Zaira Waseem is superb. In the movie, she is playing guitar fabulously with perfect striking of strings. The best scene of her is when she explains to her mother to sign on divorce papers. In the role of her mother, Meher Vij does her job effortlessly. This pair of mother-daughter is so perfect that you will always remember these two person as per the relationship described here. Kabir Sajid is adorable small kid. Raj Arjun as her father is also delivering an effortless performance. The school friend, Tirth Sharma will make you say awww with his tricks and simplicity.

And the heart of SS, Mr. Aamir Khan, as Shankti Kumar, is hilarious! I was laughing too loud whenever he's there on screen. Comic timing of perfectionist is perfect! I was getting the feel of Andaz Apna Apna. Without him, this film could have become boring!

The major plus point is songs. Amit Trivedi has given solid bunch of tunes, while Kausar Munir has written wonderfully, as if they were written by Insia itself. Everysong has meaning and each song also pushes the story forward. Meghna Mishra is the secret superstar here. Her voice matches with Zaira perfectly! 'Meri Pyari Ammi' is very well. My favorite is 'Main Nachida Phiraa'. The scene is also absolutely fantastic. After watching the whole movie, if someone will ask about the movie, you would definitely tell them the scene of one day trip to Mumbai for recording the song! It was perfectly written, shot and performed.

Kudos to the makers! If Aamir was not associated with this one, this film also would face the problem to survive, as lot's of good movies had been rejected by audience. Many are saying on twitter that this is the best film, but I don't think so! It is a good one time watch film. Not the best film of the year!

Chase your dreams. Do what is right for you, for your loved-ones. Stay blessed! 3.5*/5.

Humour. Story. Performance. Uniqueness. Excellent.
There is a film in every year whose trailer looks so promising that curiosity increases day by day till the release date comes close. Newton is such a film of 2017.
Having said that, on its release date, we got news of it getting selected to represent as an Indian Film at Oscar! Congratulations for it.
If you have sharp memory, then it may be possible, may be, but I am saying it with 99% surety that this subject has never been touched by any filmmaker. Voting for elections in sensitive areas of India is the most crucial thing beyond our imagination. We are citizens of metro cities, never look back towards small villages and their issues. So, to enjoy a different atmosphere in a general humourical way, Newton is there in theaters near you.
The first half has major portions of humour. If you think that comedy films like Housefull have humour then you should avoid this. Or if you want to give yourself a chance, than keep pateince till end and do not bother others.
Film gives all the conclusion. It is up to you, how you can grasp it. Who is right and who is wrong in this film are the questions you have to check by yourself. Director, writers and actors have done their job, as a viewer you have some duties to! Don't rush over and write anything about the film without thinking! This film will tell you about how far are you from reality of truth and right!
Without excellent dialogues, this film would not be as effective as it is. Kudos to writers! Claps for producers! Salute to director! & Big hugs to Rajkumar Rao and Pankaj Tripathi!

A Chance is all one wants in life to be a better person, please give them!
A crime drama film, based on the life of gangster-turned-politician Arun Gawli, directed by Ashim Ahluwalia and written by him along with Arjun Rampal, is released Today.

The film is going on a slower pace throughout its running time. That's why it requires patience to deal with it. This type of cinema in Bollywood is rear. So, it is time for us to support it by increasing the box office numbers.

I don't know about its box office prediction, but surely know that it will be counted as Arjun's best movie. I was surprised to see his name in writing as well as producing. He is sincere about his work throughout his career. This will add bonus.

I am a fan of Farhan Akhtar. I think that is the reason why my mind was forcing me to like his character of Bhai (Ibrahim). Otherwise the thin body doesn't suit the character, as we have seen Emraan and Rishi earlier. Aishwarya Rajesh is the lead, and after seeing the photo of Gawli's wife in end credits, I believe she's the perfect choice. Nishikant Kamant once again rocks.

Direction is fantastic. You can feel the darkness of 70's and 80's. The assassination in lift is the scene of the film! Never seen that kind of scene in any cinema. Also, editing is griping. Despite having a slower pace, the editing is finely done that you can not miss anything.

Music is given by Sajid Wajid. Hardly three songs are there. Suitable for that particular situation. Background music has one splendid tune which we've heard in Ganesh Visarjan.

Don't go for this movie just for the sake of entertainment. If you want that, than go for Badshaaho. Daddy is the film which you have to give a try just for living the life of Arun Gawli. What went wrong that leads him to join a gang and why is he still in jail are the questions which this film clarifies.

One thing I liked the most is the dialogue of Arun, which is perfectly suitable in life of youngsters. Most of the classmates of mine are going abroad and will settle there for sure, I want to say them that- 'Mee Bhagoda Naahi, Apne Desh Ko Chhodke Kahin Nahi Jaaunga!'

After seeing the story of Manya Survey and Arun Gawli, I feel that the path we choose is given by God. No bad person is bad by birth. Or not by heart, too. We people are the biggest supporters of these kind of gangsters, who somehow wanted to change their path, but 'we' didn't let them to do that. Shame on us.

Why are we holding the past of any person, whether he/she's a gangster, a politician, a thief, a prostitute or a gambler, and not providing him/her that space which can change the profession. Till we don't change our mindsets, nothing will change. A chance is what they needed.

Stand up for Love-ly film.
Aanand L. Rai brings us back the iconic pair of 2015's hit movie- Dum Lagake Haisha, that is Ayushman Khurrana and Bhumi Pednekar. Each one has a successful movie in last month itself. So, it is obvious to expect high from this film.

Trailer shows the basic story line up. Mudit and Sugandha are going to be married, but before two days of their wedding, Mudit realises he suffers from an erectile dysfunction, which almost sabotages their wedding after both the families get involved. Which also leads to some comical incidents. That's how the film goes to the completion.

Ayushman Khurrana is my most favorite man in the current lot. He actually lives the exact character every time and leaves you speechless! After the successful Bareily, this will also count in his hit list. Bhumi Pednekar is also enjoyable. Toilet has more work for Bhumi, but here, she has to just support Ayushman, and she does a great job. This pair deserves your love this time and for the time to come, too. We also have to appreciate the work done by supporting cast in this type of films. So claps for all the actors!

Music is suitable only in the film, otherwise not a single song is worth a download. I liked the Sainyaa song the most.

Dialogues and screenplay are worthy enough for the audience to not lost interest throughout the movie. Some scenes are extremely good! I liked the scene where Mudit reenters with his relatives to pleas Sugandha. I also got shocked to see Aanand Rai's favorite man's cameo in this film at the perfect moment. But, I could not be able to understand why they were shooting condom ad in Haridvar! LOL.

I request all the Adult people to go and watch this sweet movie. I wish girls should learn from the character of Bhumi to support your love unconditionally. I mean, that thing is required, but you have to understand His problems, too.

Overall, worth a watch. Bollywood is getting better with this kind of films in the remaining period of 2017.

When Imtiaz Met SRK or vice versa!

One time watch.
Madhur Bhandarkar's controversial film Indu Sarkar, starring Kirti Kulhari, Neil Nitin Mukesh, Anupam Kher & Tota Roy Chawdhury, has been released Today.

The film is based on some incidents during the time of emergency in 1975. But, as the disclaimer says, it is more fictional than reality. The story is of a girl who stammers. She got married to a Government officer. But during the period of emergency, and because of some political activities, she changes her path from supporting her husband in wrong to working for people of the nation. That is how the story goes, and what happens to her next is the story line of Indu Sarkar.

Though, it is based on the era of emergency, I felt that some portions are missing. The focus has been kept on Indu only. So, Gandhis have been ignored. Or I guess, it is the political pressure to not show more of them. That's why the film lacks in originality and thrill. So, it just becomes an ordinary film.

Direction is good by Madhur. Cinematography is also good. Some dialogues are superb. Like 'Arjun Ka Irada Dol Sakta Hai, Ghayal Druapadi Ka Nahi!'

Music of the film is above average. The famous qawwali '

Enjoyed it, bit lengthy n improper, sequel abhi baki hai mere dost!
Went with a lot of expectations. I think it's a first musical film of India. So that some can not enjoy the film, but how can I get borred who loves to listen songs!
I went there for the combo of Anurag and Ranbir. This time too it is extremely good. I like Katrina also and three of them did perfectly.
The film is not for Kids I guess, they may get borred in the film. But the location and cinematography are praiseworthy and eye catchy. I found the ending was not done properly. I felt many scenes were not perfect. So I lost the faith that it will get any award. This film has been made in 3.5 years, but I felt that the result is not that much high! If they had consumed time, the output should have been accurate.
That doesn't mean it is dull or boring. Audience will take home the Manipur portion. Because the outdoor part is very much complex or misplaced. Or even improper!
No doubt in performances. No doubt in direction. VFX should be more clear.
Music is perfect. Lyrics are awesome. Especially ~ Dil ullu ka pathha hai.... In which this line is my favourite - Dil Akbar Ka Pota Hai
Overall, after Bahubali 2, only film of this year which deserves 100cr or 150cr.
What's your take? After the last scene, I am waiting for its sequel.

भेड़ की हाहाकार के बदले, शेर की एक दहाड़ है प्यारे - दंगल!
Aamir Khan is back after 'pk' as a wrestler who wants his daughter to win the Gold for the nation. It is a biopic of Mahavir Phogat. And believe me, it's a must watch biopic to get inspiration. To achieve something you have to let go the rest of the things.

A simple story with great performances make this film a worthy watch. Aamir Khan is as usual fantastic. But, the girls are true heroes of this film. Fatimah who plays Geeta is a sure shot winner. She looks exactly as per her character and delivers great impact as a wrestler. Younger girls of Geeta and Babita are also very fine. Sakshi has a small role, but she plays it safely. Aparshakti Khurana is doing a voice over here and plays a role of the girls' cousin brother. He is funny and entertains the audiences for sure. Girish Kulkarni is also there, who delivered a classy performance in Ugly. So, the star cast and their performances are the biggest point of Dangal.

Direction and writing by Nitesh Tiwari are worthy enough for viewers as they don't get bored in any situation. Except one, after interval song, that is like something slow paced. Everyone has to applause him as he gives justice to Phogat's family and doesn't add any extra material which we often see in Bollywood movies. He has delivered the frame as it is, so the middle class viewer can easily be able to connect with the film.

What I like the most in the film apart from the performances is Music. Pritam has given it with the lyrics of Amitabh Bhatacharya. Both were amazing in Ae Dil Hai Mushkil. This time also they are killing the stereotypes. I loved all the songs. I'm downloading it. Hanikarak Bapu and Dhakad are pitch perfect. They have some english words as well as some pure Hindi words in them which make them enjoyable. But the best song is by far the Title track in the voice of Daler Mehndi. Full marks to the music department!

Yes, it is very emotional film. Those who get the connection easily with films, may cry during some scenes. Even I'm one of them, too.
It is better than Sultan, because it's a pure wrestling movie with a family background. Sultan was like a love story with a background of wrestling till interval and then box fighting post interval. I wish, Dangal may cross the record of Sultan at Box Office.

On the whole, just go and enjoy the perfect film with your entire family as many time as you can. Btw, I will go for the second time for sure. So, 2016 has ended with a perfect film. Jai Hind!
