Gene poses as a masked outlaw to gain the trust of a real outlaw. Gene robs a stage and it's passengers of it's valuables. When in town, Gene talks with a man at a bar, who is really one of the outlaws. After Gene picks a fight with one of the visitors, he is jailed. After he is alone, he explains to the sheriff of his plan. Gene is released, and has Sagebrush cover for him.
