Taste of Cherry, a yourney of pain and dignity to find someone to bury him "as a brother" after his planned suicide.
The author confronted even the religious view of suicide as a sin by saying "isn't a sin to be unhappy...". No effort to explain why the main character wanted to suicide himself, wasn't important, that was "the trick" that makes the story universal, could have happened in every country, but at the same time it was unmistakably happening at the land of Iran.
The way of filming the story only showing the car and main character driving it through Teheran was so blunt, however soften by the characters the author put on his way, and very impressive.
