Three friends on a road trip to Goa. Sounds familiar? Flashback to 2001 when Aakash, Sameer and Siddharth did the same in Dil Chahta Hai (DCH). In many ways, the show Shantit Kranti is an ode to the Farhan Akhtar directorial and it makes has no qualms about accepting the inspiration either (take the number plate of their vehicle in the credit rolls for instance – DCH 2001). The show recreates some of the most memorable references from the film and sends us on a nostalgic trip.
