'Chupkotha' or silent words (quite literally though), is a horror-thriller starring the talented Bengali actor, Parno Mitra. She essays the role of Shivangi, an investigative journalist, who gets a tip off regarding a case that was originally being handled by Kolkata Police. She starts a parallel search of her own, revolving around a missing child and an eerily creepy phone found in an even creepier house. It also features Shataf Fiqar and Mainak Banerjee. Overall, it's gripping but sadly not till the end. The ending sort of gave itself an unexpected turn but didn't manage to surprise. Parno Mitra is good and on the whole the story isn't bad honestly. A nice watch! |
