This film is three short stories about women in the American West that intertwine. The pacing of the movie was very slow, but images and scenes from the film have really stayed with me. Laura Dern plays a lawyer with a client who can't understand why he can't sue for a work brain injury. Michelle Williams is building a house with her husband, but she's obviously the bread winner of the family. And Kristen Stewart is teaching a night class when a lonely rancher attends just to be around people. Lily Gladstone as the rancher steals the movie, which is quite a feat with these accomplished co-stars. |
