Irrfan Khan and SRK are both perfection in their roles, as long lost childhood friends, one who became a megastar, and the other a barber barely scraping by. Samir (SRK) chooses Billu's small village to shoot his latest film and rumors that BIllu once knew Samir changes Billu's life dramatically (and very comically). I loved how posters and clips from SRK's real movies are used to showcase his stardom as Samir!
The movie dragged a little and could have been tightened up, but the last 15 minutes moved me very much from the point of Samir's speech to the village school to the end and his reunion with Billu. Shahrukh Khan brought me to tears talking about his friend, and then the reunion... |
